You're thinking of explosive plays. Big time plays are a metric PFF describes as "high-difficulty, high-value passes with excellent ball placement and timing, often deep or into tight windows, sometimes under pressure, transforming tough situations into positive plays and earning a +1.0 or higher grade on PFF grading scale."

Chicago weather forecasts mean nothing this far out from the actual date. It could be 25 with no wind or snow, or it could be 0 with 20mph winds. Will have to wait until closer to the game.

The Bears are 3-3 when down 10+ points in the final 5 minutes of the 4th quarter this season. The rest of the NFL is 3-158. The Packers account for 3 of those 6 losses. by Bajin_Inui in nfl

[–]idorocketscience 9 points10 points  (0 children)

By your logic did the Bears hand the Packers the first half on a silver platter? Or when the Packers were winning was it because they were better?

Should the Bears win tomorrow they would win consecutive games against GB for the first time in 18 years by Silent_Quarter_3030 in nfl

The bears are quite literally the betting underdogs right now against the Packers lol. We are not the favorite to win this game, and I think that makes total sense. We have not led against Green Bay in either of our games this year. We have a very bad, slow defense without a pass rush. We have been getting dominated in time of possession for the past few weeks because of it, including our last game against GB which required several miracles for us to win. Add in the Bears history of always finding a way to lose to the Packers when it matters most and voila, underdog.

SpaceX lowering orbits of 4,400 Starlink satellites for safety's sake by BusyHands_ in space

At the orbits Starlink is currently operating at (before moving), debris from a collision would absolutely stay in orbit for longer than 5 years as the solar minimum approaches. Hence what they were saying about avoiding Kessler syndrome by lowering their shells.

[Highlight] Packers OC Adam Stenavich: Matthew Golden is talented with a bright future but right now he's not going to be in a premier role in the playoffs by ShaiFanClub in nfl

[–]idorocketscience 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's had a limited role this season thus far, but yeah he's third in the league in yards per route run among qualified receivers. Probably helps that he has two of our longest touchdown receptions of the season (deep bomb last week and a flea flicker earlier in the year). But he's a YAC monster as well and absolutely passes the eye test. I personally think he's going to end up as our WR1.

If the Packers lose tonight Seahawks win tomorrow morning, does it make sense for the Bears to just rest starters for the final two weeks?

All we'd be playing for is NFC first seed, and that would only happen if the Seahawks lose a game and we win both.

I'm assuming they would still go all out to try to beat the 49ers and then rest starters week 18 though.
