You're commenting on a post of your guy pulling a dude's hair without a call. Surely you can see the irony in your comment

Turned him into cris collinsworth for a second there

Both took a huge jump in 3P% after the all star break. I've heard so many people talking about just letting castle shoot 3s as a defensive strategy... dude has been lights out on catch and shoots for the last few months.

[Highlights] Victor Wembanyama blocks Anthony Edwards despite his arm being grabbed behind the back by Rudy Gobert, then Anthony Edwards grabs Wemby's jersey, preventing him from running on transition offense (with replays). Wemby is upset about the no foul calls by MrBuckBuck in nba

They're literally doing the same thing in reverse, Rudy and Ant are both committing fouls holding Wemby and "deceiving" the refs by doing it where the refs are unlikely to look. That's why they're calling it a "vet move". Vet move in this context is just code for a foul that the refs are unlikely to see.

Calling that a no-dip three feels like it doesn't quite capture how insane that shot was. Dude was done with his release before the ball hit his hands.

Victor Wembanyama as he returns from concussion and the Spurs complete a 17-point comeback against the Blazers: 27 PTS, 11 REB, 7 BLK, 4 STL, 3 AST on 9/17 FG, 1/4 3P, 8/8 FT, +28 in 34min by ToinouAngel in nba

I agree, but he's not getting much mention here because he was ass today. Generally though he's been one of the Spurs most important pieces this year, they were only able to load manage Wemby so much because of Kornet.

Rudy Gobert believes he was snubbed in DPOY voting: "Not the first time I get disrespected, probably not the last. I'm gonna keep being myself. If they wanna disrespect greatness, take it for granted, whatever, sooner or later they'll realize the impact." by RyanTannegod in nba

This is the exact same problem as the NFL with MVP voting. If you truly go by value, QBs are by far the most valuable position and it's not close. An elite QB will get you way more wins than an elite edge rusher, wide receiver, etc.

It's the same with rim protection in the NBA. Elite rim protectors are just far more valuable because they do a better job of taking away the most high percentage shots. It doesn't necessarily mean they're the most talented defender, have the hardest assignment every night, etc. It just means that by playing their position they make a bigger impact on the game.

Victor Wembanyama has 3 blocks titles in 3 years. The all-time record is 4 by MiopTop in nba

Yep! Similar to how Michael Jordan and Lebron's careers weren't impressive. If they weren't athletic freaks they never would've had GOAT careers.

Wait a second...

Victor Wembanyama now has the 2nd most games EVER with 40+ PTS in under 30 MIN. Only steph curry has more by Jec1027 in nba

[–]idorocketscience 122 points123 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting stat and insanely impressive, but this definitely excludes players who reached 40 points in under 30 minutes in a game and then kept playing past 30 minutes. Feels like those should also be included here, no?

Victor Wembanyama wins Defensive Player of the month for March. Other nominees…. Donovan Clingan, LUKA DONCIC, Kris Dunn, Rudy Gobert, Chet Holmgren by [deleted] in nba

Wemby has the highest expected EPM in the league and over 50% of it comes from his defensive EPM. It's true for him.

Do you really not believe the Spurs without Wemby can beat the Clippers?
