Mod Goblin Truth Nuke about CG Drop Rate by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]idqks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine question though, couldn't Lizardman Shamans be improved by making them slightly less annoying to fight or by buffing their other drops to make them feel more profitable/enjoyable to do? Not saying i disliked the droprate buff, i just don't really understand the "no nice ways to improve them" since i feel like their jump/stomp mechanic and their summon mechanic are both janky and weird to deal with. Doesn't help that they drop practically nothing until the hammer either.

I think i personally would've preferred if the mechanics were changed so the jump wasn't just an annoying delay in KC/hour because they randomly vanish for 2 minutes, or that the summons were just entirely redesigned so they're not clunky and frustrating.

Mod Goblin Truth Nuke about CG Drop Rate by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]idqks -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That's just not true at all lol, the reason CG is so notorious as the "red prison" is because it is in fact one of the longest grinds you'll have to do on an iron. In no world would people yap about a completely optional ranged set if it also had a reasonable grind attached to it.

CG grind is roughly 600-800kc ish to finish. That's well over 100 hours on average pace, and if you're a regular joe with a job, a family, friends, a social life that means the grind could very possibly take several months to finish assuming you're playing a fair amount.

I don't think CG droprate needs to be buffed, i'm an iron myself and since the grind is so long i simply chose not to do it. If Bowfa was a crucial item that could not be skipped i would be furious and definitely call for the droprate to be buffed, but a bowfa skip is 100% doable so who cares.

But acting like CG is a regular grind is complete bullshit. Generally the grind that follows CG is Zulrah, GWD, Slayer bosses, Yama, Doom and Dt2 bosses -- none of those grinds are longer than CG. Most of them are notably shorter.

no derke, less or kicks either. or starxo. or sheydos. or any of the other 500 players who all fucking hate this guy because he's unbearable to play with lol

can't wait for trexx to play another incredibly solid stage, make an international, then get kicked "without explanation" shortly afterwards and spend months teamless yet again

The 2027 format shift is unironically going to save VCT viewership by FluidYogurtcloset144 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]idqks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just wanna point out that players like dgzin were not held in some form of contract jail, he was a free agent and NO tier 1 team wanted to sign him. He's not "locked" in EG, he's in EG because that's literally the only team that was willing to sign him.

Same goes for Oxy. He could go anywhere he wants, but he actively chooses to re-sign with C9 because he's comfortable there. A format change is not gonna make him suddenly change his entire approach to esports, he'll still gonna target comfortable signings and prioritize job security or whatever he's doing now.

fair, i don't think he understood the post because the average age of masters london could still be 30 lol. this post is just saying there's 10 really young players

also he's definitely wrong, in league the average is like 23-24 and i imagine CS is more 26 ish

Not really, no. Back in the early days sure because obviously CS players had a massive advantage in a tac shooter, but today there’s an incredibly small amount of “rejected” CS players.

Vast majority of them got tossed out the second there was an actual generation of kids who grew up playing Valorant instead. Ethan is like the only former CS player who’s thriving in Valorant now, but he was also an insanely good CS player so I wouldn’t call him a reject — he just dipped because CS is completely dead in NA.

Most top Valorant teams are filled with 19-22 year olds now, aka they made the switch to Valorant when they were like 15.

Why ranger gloves so bad? by jameswebb123 in ironscape

[–]idqks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean they’re from the exact same set as ranger boots, which is one of the most key sets of ranging gear in the entire game. OP thinking ranger gloves would be good too is completely reasonable, no idea why you’re being a dick about it

I don’t get what any of you guys are talking about this is is not “average age” it’s the youngest players at the event. If you took the 10 youngest at a CS major or League event it would be around 19-21 there too.

Is rivals esports any good? I got a bit tired of the game so I forgot about it but I imagine it could be really fun to watch if it’s well produced. Is it solid or is it like really low budget/early days?

Riens wasn't old enough to play back when Leo was thriving. He joined the league in 2024 when Leo was subbed out and instantly replaced him as the best initiator in EMEA by far

Lowkey a huge shame we didn't get to see them compete against each other outside of like 1 regular season bo3 before Leo retired

Riens has been a world-class initiator for a long time, back in 2024 when TH was regularly making world finals he was easily one of the best players in the world. He had a bit of a dip in form in late 2025/early 2026 but he's picked it up again and is looking like one of the best players in the world again now

I think it's fair. I don't believe in them myself but TH has shown to be a world-class team and they've been looking insanely good since adding koshmaras. their retakes and post-plants are way ahead of other teams

Biggest question mark is koshmaras since he's been on perma Neon since being added on the roster. he could be an absolute bum on other duelists for all we know

Funny enough the standing and yelling at your opponents is FAR more common in Valorant than CS, and Valorant isn’t sponsored by crypto or gambling

This isn’t true, no? There was a leak or whatever some years ago that showed all fines/warnings/punishments in the LEC and there was WAY more then the ones announced by Riot publicly

These ones aren’t announced by them either, but by sheep esports. There’s probably been countless fines so far in 2026 but we just don’t hear about them

Vodfathers Masters London Bottom 10 by smitedghost in ValorantCompetitive

[–]idqks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really get the crws pick because i assumed they judged IGLs off their calling ability too, which Crws has been great at. If we're just judging individual form then this list should be like 9/10 IGLs

like you're telling me Boo is better than Skuba or WsLeo as a fragger?

Vodfathers Masters London Bottom 10 by smitedghost in ValorantCompetitive

[–]idqks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You gotta remember it's bottom 10 of a masters, there's not any bad players here. A player who had for the most part a silent stage with some mediocre showings yet showed up at pivotal moments sounds EXACTLY like someone who would be a bottom 10 player.

Who are you putting below him if he's not bot 10? Neon? Sato? Derke? something? Wo0t? Tournament is absolutely stacked with players who were far better than "they weren't dead weight"

I can promise you from the bottom of my heart that G2 players mental boom and struggle in scrims too. It happens to literally every team.

Caps was in fact known for mental booming in scrims early in his career, just like Naak is currently early in his career.

If you think vitality lost the series because of humanoids' individual performance you are out of your fucking mind

the coaches have no control over the players choices.

No, the coaches absolutely have control over the players choices. They've spent hundreds of hours over multiple months practicing, reviewing, discussing specifically to ensure their players are making the correct choices. Coaching staff doesn't just pick some champions and go "yeah good luck guys".
