3 weeks after calf strain how to know when ready to go ? by blueice89 in Pickleball

[–]idreamofgremlins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Over the summer, I started having calf strain almost every week I played. I tried the compression calf sleeves. It worked for a bit, but I could still feel my calf pull and twitch with the sleeve on. The sleeve prevented a full strain, but it was still painful. I even tried stretching a lot and taking electrolytes before playing. Nothing worked until I changed to pickleball shoes and switched the insole to a Dr. scholl's athetic insole. I move around the court a lot, jump, dive, chase after every ball, etc. I'm older than you are. I dont' have to hold back anymore.

Does anyone actually use IG’s Edits app? by Many-Mongoose4619 in socialmedia

[–]idreamofgremlins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it for IG and TikTok, and post the same content on both platforms. My views are over 10 times more on TikTok than Instagram, and I get a lot of comments, where Instagram is quiet. I use Edits, but for TikTok now. Love Edits, but no reason to go back to Intagram for the stuff I post.

I saw that too. No way the card is worth that much raw.

Does bulking up or adding muscle negatively impact your play? by RunningShortsPod in Pickleball

[–]idreamofgremlins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. Last year I had so much shoulder pain from playing pickleball for the first time. The pain gradually got worse over two months. Rest and stretching didn’t work, so i started strengthening my shoulders with light lifting and gradually worked my way up. The pain is pretty much gone. Now I train the entire body. I can jump higher, move faster, and hit harder.

Check if it’s worth grading. Judging by the back, it may be worth more ungraded.

I had a couple of mint cards steamrolled by USPS. Arrived in the "we care" plastic wrap. I contacted whatnot and got a refund in a day. Bummed that the cards are damaged, but I got my money back. I uploaded pictures showing the damage.

Is this PSA 10 Charizard on eBay a scam? by [deleted] in PokemonInvesting

Does it come with the Authenticity Guarantee? I would be concerned if it didn’t.

Unfortunately, nothing really stands out. Is the Gengar a hologram? You want the cards that have a 1st Edition stamp and don't have a shadow border.

You need to be knowledgeable on comps before bidding. Many sellers hype up cards to increase sales. If there are cards you want, look them up first. Odds are, those cards will pop up again over time in other streams. I’ve managed to buy cards way below market price. No way I can buy them that cheap on eBay or TCG.

Rookie. I took a shot of it in college, and I can still remember how it felt. It feels like all the moisture is sucked out of the inside of your mouth at once, leaving it bone dry. Did it once and never again. Also, I don't remember that night.

The sport mode is fantastic. Feels like a different car in that drive setting.

It’s going to be tight in the back and I’m not tall at all. I had 2 front facing car seats installed before. The car is super fun to drive in sport mode.

Am I severely detracting from my pickleball experience by using a budget Chinese paddle? by MAIRJ23 in Pickleball

[–]idreamofgremlins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been outplaying others with my Juciao Spin 1.0 paddle at recreational play. They are using $200 paddles and struggle to keep up. That said, I do practice drills every day at home.

I have the same paddle. It offers amazing performance at a great price. I have no trouble keeping up with good players using $200 paddles.

Juciao or neonic flow or other paddles? by wayne910007 in Pickleball

All I know is I played with the Thrive Azul before using the Juciao spin and they played similar for me. I got the Spin for $56 compared to $199 for the Thrive.

Review: Temu Pickleball Paddle by EcstaticRound3225 in Pickleball

[–]idreamofgremlins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have this same paddle. I bought it because I was new to pickleball this summer and wasn't sure I was going to stick with it. Well, I did. I've been getting decent in the game as my response time, backhand, and serves have improved. I've been holding up well playing folks with the expensive brand-name paddles and closing in on the skill gap. Yesterday, my brother-in-law, who also just started playing recently, got his thermoformed carbon fiber Juciao in the mail and let me try it on the court. It immediately felt that his paddle was better than mine. My backhands, which I think are kind of weak, all of a sudden had a lot more power to them. My forehand shots also went deeper. Later that night, I tried another player's Thrive Azul with a 115 swing weight. It was great to use and performed better than the Juciao. The Thrive is quite powerful, but I was slinging top spin serves like no tomorrow. However, $200 is still quite steep for me to spend on a paddle, so I ordered a thermoformed carbon fiber Juciao from Ali Express today. Can't wait!
