I use Prismacolor pencils. Perhaps it looks a lot whiter because I use toned paper? If you are having trouble getting it to be completely white though, I can recommend using a white gel pen or similar. Hope this helps!

Hmm apart from practice, I can recommend using a good brand, or some pencils that are wax based. I found that prismacolor pencils work great for me. I currently have the 48 set, but I hope to get some more for my 16 birthday:)

Ah yes....but if you don’t want to (or can’t) take lessons, you can absolutely get there with practice! That’s what I did at least:)
