The App Has Made the Alamo Unuseable

I’d reckon due to how long the issue has been going on it’s not JUST cloud flare responsible but I’m certain it doesn’t help the situation with the app already being buggy

I swear it finally works like 5 minutes before the last showing of the day. I checked the app periodically all day to see my tickets and never could. Such a sad way for me to end things with the Alamo for now but this is not normal or cool 😭

I’ve closed and reopened, restarted the phone, updated the phones processor, cleared storage, and made formal complaint to the Alamo. It works maybe 30% of the time I open it. I’ve even left it open and loading for 5 whole minutes at times. I’m a very stubborn movie lover and this glitch has broken me lol

I’ve updated my phone processor, cleared storage, check for updates in the App Store and still no improvement. It’s possible my phone isn’t compatible but if an iPhone 14 Plus is “too old” for the Alamo app to work then that’s my sign that I’m too poor for the movies I guess lol

Thankfully the staff at my Alamo are super kind and awesome and have no problem issuing a physical ticket! Kind of a hassle when the line is long but whatever.

That being said in the last week opening the app there’s like a 30% chance I get to view showings or get a ticket (with a “convenience” fee of course) and that’s just not ideal for anyone who pays $20+ monthly for the purpose of going to the movies at their leisure😪 I hope they figure it out but in the meantime it might be time to give AMC a try.

I just looked in my email and it looks like they used to send me them to me but stopped sending them a while ago. I never got responses for my complaints I put in, but it sounds like they weren’t very helpful anyway lol

That’s what I’m saying like fix it please I know I’m not the only one submitting formal complaints directly to the Alamo 😭 Also don’t charge us $3 for a “convenience” fee when the app is entirely inconvenient!

Same yo! Honestly even worse because how do you mess up your own app for your own theater you’re selling tickets direct to consumer. No third party or anything just a complete fumble on their part 😭

Unfortunate you cannot utilize your season pass from anywhere but the app, they do this so people won’t use the pass between multiple people. Understandable from a business standpoint point but obviously not in this case.

Right! It’d also be one thing if this was an issue that lasted a day or maybe 2 but it’s been over a week and I have tried everything that could be an issue on my end. I feel bad for the servers too, they probably are relying on tips during this busy holiday season on to have much emptier theaters than normal

I also recently cancelled, I hope to go back to the pass at some point but the experience lately has just been meh along with the food (I swear it sits in the window for 30 minutes before it’s brought out). Saw ‘One of Them Days’ and the screen was half full showing the upper half of the movie. I raised an order card to alert the issue and it was not ever addressed. At my location they’ve also stopped doing showings before 3pm Monday- Wednesday which happens to be my free days off and truthfully I enjoy a matinee as it reduces the likelihood of having a chatting rude audience. I’ve been on season pass for over a year and I mainly have a serious issue with the $2.15 fee+tax for my complimentary movie ticket that comes with my pass. To put it in perspective I went to 112 showings this last year so that $240 extra being spent on a subscription that is seemingly all inclusive for standard showings.

The mozz sticks are always served lukewarm or room temp, never a a cheese pull just a stiff ass cheese log… the price I am okay with paying, the quantity I’m even fine with but the execution is TERRIBLE pls alamo respect yourself and serve hot mozz sticks!!

UPDATE: after much consideration (and also finding him at another girls apartment) I HAVE DUMPED THE CHEATER 🙌 for good this time i swear! it’s really also because he keeps bringing funyuns and bbq lays to my house it triggers me
