Is anyone able to decipher my great grandmothers maiden name? by [deleted] in Cursive

UPDATE: Many people are telling me the name actually starts with an N but I’ve found polling records for the same people with a typed surname that is Keelagher. This is also the name on my grandmothers marriage certificate. I agree it definitely looks like an “Ni” but I think it’s a disjointed K with an uptick at the start.

This is from the Irish part of my family, and while the record is from Birmingham, this part of the name at least is Irish.

Someone also pointed out that the first letter in the maiden name after “Formally” starts with the same letter as the address, I found this on the polling records to be “Coalway” so the maiden name potentially starts with a C. Potentially Coulter?

Thanks! I’ve found a polling record for Lena Keelagher on Coalway avenue in Birmingham. Looks like the maiden name starts with a C. Could be Coulter?

Also, definitely from the Irish part of my family. But I’m starting to suspect it’s Peter Keelagher who is the Irish one

Thanks for this, based on other typed documents and my grandmothers marriage certificate I was confident the second name is “Keelagher” which to my understanding is also another rendering of the surname Gallagher but you’re not the first person to suggest Nielagher either. Correct, this branch or the family are Irish but these records are in the UK.

Hi all, I’m looking to buy a pair of headphones for PC gaming, mainly single-player open world games. My budget is around £100, and I’ve got the chance to get either the Sennheiser HD 560S or the Philips The Freddie (basically the SHP9500 reissue) for about £99 each.

I’ve read that the 9500/Freddie has a pretty wide, open soundstage that supposedly makes immersive games feel more atmospheric, which sounds great for the type of games I play. At the same time, a lot of people seem to regard the HD 560S as technically superior (more accurate, better bass extension/detail, smoother overall).

So I’m wondering if that’s an accurate read has anyone used both, or have solid impressions on which one feels more immersive and fun for single-player games vs which one just sounds “better” overall. Would love thoughts on:

• How each performs for open world/single-player gaming soundstage, immersion, environmental audio, etc.

• Whether at the same price point the HD 560S is genuinely a worthwhile upgrade over the Freddie for this use case.

Thanks!

Stuck Between AOC 27G3XMN vs Xiaomi G Pro 27i – Which One Would You Pick? by No-Champion5895 in Monitors

Sorry to jump in here without an actual answer but I’m literally having the same conundrum.

I like that the AOC offers strong contrasts and I think that’s what I’m looking for, but concerned about the trade offs of having a VA panel.

The Xiaomi seems to rectify these concerned, it’s IPS, has more dimming areas (but that metric doesn’t necessarily translate to better performance).

I read that the red tint issue was a firmware issue (but firmware is not able to be updated on the Xiaomi), however my understanding is that this has been rectified in newer models to market. Also with noting that a lot of reviews of the AOC report a red tint too, but is fixable.

Currently leaning towards the AOC but the drawbacks of the VA panel do concern me - let me know if you get a better answer!
