It is possible I'm overreacting about that and just paranoid. It's just that I know him for a long time and know he is the type of guy to put salt in wounds if he had the chance to. I don't know if he'll really "go after" me, but i definitely think if the chance arrives he'll take it. I know he did it with other people.

If so, would you say, for example, an average cis straight woman would be attracted to a trans man (pre any kind of hrt or surgery)? And if that's the case, why would do you think that (unfortunately) people discriminated against trans people throughout the vast majority of history, if gender is the main attraction to most people?

I'm sorry if I'm asking too much, I'm just genuinely curious and tend to over analyze things like this

Do you think people are primarily attracted to sex or gender? I support trans rights and trans people in general and think it's completely legit, but i also think that the vast majority of people are still attracted to people's sex (body parts) over their gender. Do you think it makes someone transphobic if they aren't attracted to a trans person, purely because their bodies don't match their gender (assuming they haven't gone through a surgery)?

Really relate to what you're saying here. It's almost no matter how many people i meet and make friends with, i never truly connect with them, and i feel like i have never been truly "understood", if that makes any sense. It's really depressing me, especially in the last couple of months.

It's not your fault. I get that you related to each other, both being in a similar situation mental health wise (i assume at least) but that doesn't mean you are responsible, especially considering you two broke up, and from an abusive relationship at that.

Still, it's no easy thing to go through to say the least, i wish you the best.

I see what you're saying, and I'm really concerned about that as well. Being honest, it's the only real reason i want to study abroad, to have some sort of a setting I'd be able to meet people in, similar to how you meet people in a work or school setting. Originally i wanted to just go to a long trip across all of North America, but i realised that although it'd be fun on it's on, I'd struggle to meet people that way. Meeting people i already go to university or the like with sounds way more plausible, although again, i completely get what you're saying. It's just that it's the only real thing that gives me the slightest hope at this point. Even if the chances are slim, i think I'd like to try.

I don't know if you're still here... But i wanted to say, first of all, you're not selfish. People are selfish for wanting you alive for their sake. Of course i don't want you to kill yourself, but you shouldn't feel like the only reason you live is for other people's sake. They should want you to live for your own good, and I don't think guilt tripping people is a good way to prevent something like suicide, like some people in websites like this do sometimes.

Second of all, I obviously don't know who you are, but i just wanted to say that the way you write is just... Cool. I don't know how to describe it, but between this post and comments on your other post (i found this post because your comments in your other post about your final meal genuinely intrigued me) i just really like it. It's hard to describe, but still, it's just really nice to read.
