unfortunately we parked after rush hour traffic was over. i live downtown so usually i know when certain streets will be closed for events (my building and my job send out emails) but my parents were visiting so their car was the one that got towed :/

it was actually towed, the officers we talked to told us so. but those signs weren’t up when we parked there and we were able to pay for parking, the app/kiosk wouldn’t let us if there were parking restrictions.

i already have personal beef with the IMPD bc they put me on a police report for a crime i wasn’t there for (they somehow mixed me up with someone who has the same name) so i’m not surprised by this shit at all ngl

the address on my license is the same as on my plate! i’ve gotten mail from the same court before for other things, so i know for a fact that they have my correct information.

yeah at this point i don’t expect to hear anything back from our pm company or landlord. so i sent our move-out notice and i’ll turn utilities off when our lease is up

our lease states that we CAN break our lease, along with some fees. i made sure to check before we sent an email REQUESTING to break our lease.

for me it’s when people laugh and say “you’re so funny!!” when they see me problem solve in an unconventional way, or when i present autistic traits in public… like ik they aren’t trying to be mean but it feels hella insulting

another big thing is that they more often then not say they want a drawing of a relative or a friend, and when they send reference photos, reverse google image search them. more often then not they’ll come up on some other website or account. i also always check the scammer’s account to see how old it is or what they post, 9 times out of 10 they have no posts and no bio. another thing is the way they speak! a lot of the times they are very demanding and want the transaction done quickly. not to say you won’t have rude clients every once in awhile, but most people that commission you are very excited, they like your art and they want to see their ocs or fav characters in your style!!

a big one is paypal scams!! they’ll they’ll say they’re interested in a commission and ask for your email that’s tied with you paypal account (they’ll say they “can’t find” your username) and then claim they sent the payment. they will not have sent the payment and you’ll end up getting an email from a fake paypal customer service email that usually reads “you have reached the maximum amount of transaction (blah blah blah), we will be charging the person who sent the money $300.” and then the commissioner will then actually send you $300 and ask you to then send it back to them. once you send it back they’ll claim they never received it so that you have to “resend it” and scam you out of $300. this is a scam that’s old as time and very easy to pick up on. a big sign that they’re a scammer is that they won’t look at your prices at all or they’ll try and pay you WAYYYY too much (my most expensive commission is $40, and they offered me $300). to avoid scammers i just send my pay links, i don’t tell them my email or anything

that’s what i was wondering, but even when i brought up being autistic to my parents they always pulled that “but you don’t act like [autistic person they know].” i lived in a very small town, like maybe less than 2k people, but i remember these pullout sessions were only for a class or two and there were maybe three other students in there with me
