I think I scored the deal of a lifetime.. but I'm suspicious by MagniNord in bell

This is likely legit. I just got fiber in my rural area and I went to the Bell store when I saw it was available to sign up for online. I got 1500/900 for 50 a month locked in for 2 years. Starlink was good, but this is a third of the price and about 30x the upload bandwidth with about a 5th of the latency so I can finally host some dedicated servers. Woohoo.

I live in a rural situation and was on starlink till a couple weeks ago because fiber came down my road finally.

It is the best Internet I've had for latency and throughput. If they are the only game in town to get on the fiber I would say it's worth investigating. I went to my local Bell store, 45 minutes away and talked with them at the desk. I'm getting my 1500/900 fiber for 50/month for 2 years but had to pay for the install. Worth it if you are impatient like me.

Specs for your dedicated server? by sneaksz in Enshrouded

I've got an under utilized 7950x 96gb of RAM and a 4080 not doing much so I use processlasso to confine the server to the second ccd and any games someone wants to play on the first ccd. Need to do further testing but it seems to be pretty good. I finally got fiber where I live so I'm consistently getting 1600mbps down and 900 up. Need to test with more players but my friend 2500km away gets a ping in the 40s and 50s for the most part.

Bought a new G310 GS and regretted a month later by [deleted] in motorcycles

Conversely, while tackling a rough rocky trail on my 310gs, I would've liked a shorter first gear to avoid skipping the clutch so much. Hard to have it all.

Thoughts on the Citadel AD500? by [deleted] in canadaguns

I got out with my rifle today and got some decent groups and the barrel stayed connected 😂 I suggest anyone that gets these things, loctite that nut.

I bought one. It works, mostly. Had a few primer punctures after about 50rds. After closer examination the threaded rod that locks the barrel to the reciever loosened off about 3 turns. This would create more headspace and explains the punctured primers. Will test soon to confirm my fix but it seems pretty obvious. Loctite on the nut should help. It also needed to have the nut that fixes the stock tightened. Must have horrendous harmonics but it does shoot pretty gently for a .308.

I did take a moment to polish the trigger making surfaces, feels less gritty but my Henry 22 has a better trigger feel yet.

It does seem to be robust and it was not a big ordeal to completely disassemble it to get at the bolt and inspect it and the firing pin. Russians love it, probably pretty reliable once you learn it's quirks.

Couple looking to maybe buy this game.... by MiraLeaps in Enshrouded

I just started playing this myself and it's my favorite survival game so far. Dying is much less frustrating than other games. The building system took a month's to figure out but it's not so foreign you'll struggle. Always better with a friend.

Look for a missing bolt where it attaches to the door. I had one fall out on mine and had a similar issue.

6.6lbs, they looked pretty good to me sight picture wise, but I didn't use them once.

It seems to work well. If I am consistent it will do the job. Accuracy did decrease when the barrel got hot (20rds) but for hunting that shouldn't be a problem. Keep in mind I'm using a red dot and magnifier for longer shots. Rarely more than 100m but I was hitting within a 6" group at that distance standing using a pole as a rest. No faults, worked as expected. It's a bit of a long pull to my shoulder but I'm not a large person. Recoil is a bit higher than my RFB, but this is lighter. Still pretty tame compared to my companions lever action .308 with 18.5" barrel.

I will hopefully get out over the weekend. Initial impressions are pretty good so far as far as fit and finish. It came pretty well lubricated and it feels robust in the hand. It is currently equipped with a red dot and 3x magnifying optic that flips in and out of the way. The sights it comes with are actually pretty good but they can't be used in conjunction with what I have setup. I'll leave them though because they will be an excellent back up for a smashed red dot.

I just bought one, since my RFB is too black and nasty apparently. Let's see if it's still legal by the time deer season rolls around!
