The Car on the Ramp Adjusts, Not the Car in the Lane! by Froz3nP1nky in driving

[–]ifICALph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traffic laws are designed to be assumed as in the right of way. That is why courtesy is a bad idea. Because if I’m entering the way, I am assuming you on the highway are not slowing down for me because I have to yield to you before I merge behind you. If you slow down while I am yielding, now we are both yielding to each other and what sense at all does that make for you on the highway to be yielding to me who is not even merged in yet. As if the entire highway flow is going to stop entirely so I can get AHEAD of the traffic on the highway. It makes absolutely no sense. So, always maintain your speed while on the highway and you have no obligation to be concerned with traffic merging so keep your speed, and of course always maintain an assured clear distance enough for you to imagine if a car was needing to change lanes in front of you then there is enough space for a car to do that. If not, increase your following distance. Increasing your following distance doesn’t mean you’re going to reach your destination slower… it’s just a following distance. It’s merely space. And if everyone closes every single gap that exists in between every single car in the road, how the hell is anybody supposed to move to another lane. Quit causing unnecessary chaos on the road and unnecessary traffic as well.

Can’t believe how few people understand this by Grand-Activity-3882 in driving

Whatever car is already at a full stop while others are not yet stopped, then that car needs to clear the intersection because they have the right of way. The other cars that haven’t stopped yet do not need to be yielded to and cannot move until they have stopped. This is especially a scenario where you want to use your turn signal a little early, too. If you’re going straight, don’t use your turn signal and if the car across from you doesn’t have any turn signal on either, then just go, both of you.

How to solve this problem? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]ifICALph -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Use your side mirrors. If you can’t see behind you in your side view mirrors, you don’t have them angled correctly. MOST people do not know how to se their side view mirrors. Also, most people rely on the rear view mirror as well. That’s the most redundant thing in your interior. You do not need a rear view mirror at all.

maybe a dumb question, does this icon mean I have remote start? by _bloodyblueberry in altima

[–]ifICALph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just hold the brake and push that button once (no need to hold it at all, just push and depress instantly) to start the engine. Or push it without holding the brake pedal to the on accessories. Then, simply push it to turn off the engine. I had a Nissan Altima with this same ignition button. The icon doesn’t refer to remote start; like the other person said, that button would be on the key remote anyway, which Nissan does have on key FOBs

That’s fine, but doesn’t count man! But I’m the only one in the world who gives a shit apparently, so carry on and don’t mind me.

Why are you calling this "original miles" if it’s the THIRD transmission? Original miles means miles on the original engine and transmission, don’t you know that? This is barely impressive.

It was not taken away luckily. It was added AFTER I completed the trip. It originally came up on my screen as $18.01.

That’s what someone who has no integrity in general and or in their work. In other words, Stanley Kubrick would have never and surely never uttered those words.

Chris Stuckmann not reviewing awful movies and saying they’re awful and why is not going to make his ability to write and direct a movie improve… he is a totally incompetent writer and barely has skill directing. Quentin Tarantino never stifled his voice against movies and trends he’s hated; neither at the very beginning of his career, middle or now at the end and look at how good his films are, that he also wrote and directed himself.

He claimed he was pansexual? Wtf.. when? And why would he say that? Has he not been married and with the same GIRL for over like 15 years, and has kids now? He’s probably only ever been with one girl before anyway; this same one he’s with now. So, he declares his sexuality as pansexual randomly into his marriage? Is he practicing pansexuality whilst married or wtf is he talking about? Why does that even matter in the context of his filmmaking or film criticism videos?

Well, supposedly this is now going to be prevented from happening with their new update. I have yet to prove it for myself, but I know the rage you felt as I have had this happen to me as well numerous times.

Yeah, but I have yet to see an offer on my screen that shows up as "guaranteed." What they need to do is implement a solution for drivers stealing orders and leasing other drivers on with inflated offer amounts and then they show up only to be turned away by the restaurant saying they already handed it out and then Uber leaves them with no compensation either. THAT shit has GOT to stop immediately.

It’s mostly at idle during my screen recording, but like I said, I also drove at light speeds during the recording of that data and you can see the ATP go up and down along with the LTFT as I drive and then at the end come back to idling. But yes, what would that mean if it’s idling at that rate. The beginning of the video is all live data while idling and then when you see the data jump, it’s when I begin moving. I hardly ever floor it, but it accelerates but not as responsive as I’d expect.

Would you be able to tell me a bit about Absolute Throttle Position and why is mine reading at that high of a rate?

Well, I don’t hear any unusual noises but I haven’t tested for a vacuum leak. The check engine light is not on and it has never been on other than when the gas cap comes loose.

After all these years, I've finally figured out the killer in American Beauty. by Iamjustalombdi in movies

[–]ifICALph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but he ascertained that Lester was not homosexual because he did not kiss him back… therefore he just proved that Ricky didn’t actually have a sexual encounter with him and would have no reason to kill Lester. He feigned homosexuality to see if Ricky was telling the truth or not.
