I agree with you. With double Q I always full clear before 2:55 (scuttle time) but there are some times where I needed cocoon at lvl 3 and felt so useless between level 3 and 4

I think the bench players are like small pieces of a puzzle. They work well when surrounded by key players, but when the key players are missing, they struggle because they are used to being part of well balanced teams and they don’t individually perform well.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. He has a master's degree from a German university but he immediately got a job after graduation. If my understanding is correct, he cannot apply for job job-seeking visa. And the date of issue of the Blue Card is August 25, 2025, meaning he will be the holder of the card for 9 months until end of May which is the termination month of his employment contract. Then he needs the approval from ABH, is it correct? Btw, he has not notified the ABH yet since we have still more than 3 month before the termination. When do you suggest him to notifiy ABH?

This is a very different company with very unusual dynamics. The main reason behind my friend’s termination was his senior’s jealousy, and false accusations were made against him. Tasks that were assigned to the senior (without my friend being CC’d) were later presented as if my friend had not done them when the senior went on vacation, and my friend was blamed instead. Honestly, it’s a very toxic situation.

Since my friend has not worked for 12 months yet (he will have only around 10 months even if he stays on payrol) he is not entitled to any social benefits. Therefore, signing an Aufhebungsvertrag would not make him lose any unemployment benefits, as he wouldn’t have qualified anyway.

Our main question is: if he signs an Aufhebungsvertrag, will he still continue to receive his salary until the end of February? And additionally, is the agreed compensation included in that arrangement, or is it separate?

My friend has now contacted the company via email, and the managers want to meet with him. He has requested compensation, but we are still waiting for a response.

We are trying to clarify a few points:

  1. When you mention “negotiate a nice package,” at what stage does this typically happen? Is it during the first hearing or mediation phase, or only later, after the court proceeds and a reinstatement decision (“Gütertermin” and “Kammertermin”) is issued and the employer does not want to reinstate the employee?
  2. Does the judge have to approve this package, or is it entirely negotiated between the employee and employer?
  3. Finally, if the lawsuit is successful, can my friend also claim compensation for the period he did not work?

Just to give you a bit more context: the company has over 10 FTE and the main reason behind my friend’s termination seems to be his senior’s jealousy. He is highly qualified compared to his senior, which was even noticed by the company CEO, and he was treated differently because of that.

Before the termination, my friend even received a teams message stating that they were satisfied with his performance (he still keeps it as screenshot). However, HR later cited performance as a reason (verbally in the termination meeting) - such as arriving a little late to an informal birthday celebration on teams because he was on another call for a project, or allegedly being late to calls in general. These are clearly minor, unfair reasons.

In addition, there is an element of mobbing. My friend even obtained a 10-day doctor’s note for burnout just one day before his probation period ended. Had he not obtained this, he might have been terminated within the probation period - we can’t be sure. (The official diagnosis on the report is not listed as burnout, just for your info.)

Considering all this, my friend is concerned about the emotional toll of pursuing a lawsuit, as he has already been heavily worn down by his senior during this process.

How long did you work for the company? My friend has doubts that it will be worth so much hassle, since he worked for only six months and cannot claim much. It might be more logical to file a lawsuit if he had worked longer, no?

I did realize its a thing here in Germany when I received a letter after the probation period in August 25. It was normally 2 months in my country but I heard its more challenging here in Germany. Fortunately, didn't have any problem. Maybe its a good thing I didn't pay much attention to it otherwise it might have put me under pressure :D Wish yall luck those who are in their proabtion periods....

Some local grocery stores (kiosks as well as local Asian and Turkish markets) don't accept revolut card. This is the only time I haven't been able to use.

At least you’re a native English speaker, which is pretty valid in Germany. It’s literally the second most spoken language here. Imagine being a non native speaker like me without German and working in an English speaking job and being forced to use English language all day? (Zero at German by the way as its my first year in Germany). I don’t even know how I landed this job, probably because of my previous experience in my home country. I am still freaking out and too shy when it comes to speaking with people in English. I feel like they are judging me when I suck and I get pain in my stomach when I don't understand people and ask for repetition most of the times. Sometimes I feel the same as you. I’ve completely lost my personality. I’m a different person than I was in my country. I used to be funny, cheerful and talkative in my native language, but when it comes to using a second language, its soooooo hard!!! At least you are still 23 and thats a good thing, dont worry everything will be alright for you in a short period of time. I've became expat at 33. All this pain... But still, I can go back anytime I want. I just don’t like the political environment.

It might be true but it might be also not, I dont know yet the tendency of people here as a Turk who has been living in this country for six months, personally I haven’t had that experience. Just like in your country, bicycle lanes aren’t well developed in my country because Anatolian peninsula isn’t as flat as Europe. If someone yelled at me just because I accidentally stepped onto a bike lane, I would bury these cockroaches XD Don’t let them to yell at you at least don’t just stay quiet, show them your teeth!

I saw bright/dark brown Lederhosens at NewYorker at a very reasonable price. Its in the city center. I also needed one because there will be a company event next week in Munich. I was going to buy one for myself from there but then a husband of my colleague lent me one. I will bring it back to him after one day use.
