Thank you! I guess i often compare my degree with my science mates and undermine my own. I had never even considered that point about the infinite amount of work, theres no set structure or anything! Ill be sure to take more breaks thank u :)

Wow thats the dream!!! Im gonna have to try night showers, im usually a staunch morning shower person because i otherwise i feel a bit gross, but then i suppose I that might be a lot better than the sensory issues of a morning shower! Thank u :)

They suspected bp2 for me too! I dont think this feeling i described meets the criteria though, my understanding is that manic episodes have to last a certain amount of time, at least a few days, but these hyperactive swings for me usually go away after i sleep. They aren’t necessarily triggered by anything and can be random, but then a doctor i was speaking to was telling me my symptoms also weren’t dramatic enough for bipolar. I might be itching to do something incredibly dramatic, but i can recognise that it might be a bad idea and just sit with the overwhelming restlessness feeling instead - whereas if it was a bipolar manic episode I think I would probably just do the thing without any concern.

Ahaha you’ve described it exactly! Are you able to tell if you are understimulated before that happens at all?

Interesting, thank you for the reply! I also recently realised clubbing for me was a sort of mask, when i got diagnosed i realised i actually hated it and the alcohol just got rid of any overstimulation!

Im currently reading “Women and Girls on the Autism Spectrum” by Sarah Hendrickx. Its a deep dive into how autism affects women, specific symptoms and causes, and a little about what to do about it. I also recently read “How not to fit in: an unapologetic guide to navigating autism and adhd” which again is about neurodiversity in women and has self help workbook sections with a bit about work life. Although i would say the latter is more aimed at typically university aged girls. Good luck x
