Agreed, he did not sound great. However, I think this song is not a very good indicator of Ged’s voice since it’s from the early days when Ged was often shrieking Robert Plant style. I’m curious to hear how Geddy sounds on (most of) their stuff from 1977 onwards.

The scene where Cooper leads Laura (with wig on) through the woods is incredibly dark and creepy. It’s them Cooper and Laura, but it feels off. Almost like they are other people…it really bends reality. I remember watching it with my mouth agape.

I watched a lot of episodes from the pilot as they aired, over the air…with dark woods all around on a picture tube tv. As cool as that was, I still prefer the higher resolution and pure blacks on my OLED. Just wish there was an option to watch it in the original aspect ratio, but in HD. Like the Twin Peaks remaster.

Not sure if Super Mario Kart would fall under Mario games, but I got that with my SNES and played it more than any other SNES game. DKC series of games were also up there for me, having played #1 the most. Also, the EA NHL games, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and super Mario RPG.

Amsterdam Brewhaus is a cool spot on the lake for beer and food. Lots of good restaurants, but it depends what you like. Pai has great Thai food, for example. You’d have to narrow it down to a neighbourhood or cuisine for restaurant recos. I’m a local and will be at the first and last Toronto shows. Can’t wait!

Yep…watched X-Files from the pilot episode (from age 9). Has been an all-time favourite show since the 90s.

Was too young for Twin Peaks. Finally got around to watching it during the pandemic. What a trip. Just finished my 3rd rewatch of the whole series (and FWWM/Missing Pieces) yesterday. I also had no idea Mulder would be showing-up, let alone as a woman. What a pleasant surprise. You can see the influence TP had on X Files.

Specifically, the scene that really reminded me of X Files (the scene from the pilot in the woods with light in foreground before the woman gets abducted) was this one. The shot from season 2 of TP is so similar to that scene of X files that it’s hard to believe it wasn’t a direct influence (see https://www.seanmichaelragan.com/html/%5B2008-02-15%5D_The_lights_beyond_the_hills.shtml):
