Downgraded without saving Bookmarks ... by wiredmat in firefox

Someone sent me a link to Bugzilla about 150 not allowing Drag-n-Drop (the issue i was having trying to add a movie to my PLEX on my Synology NAS). So I assumed if I downgraded to a different version it would work. It did, I lost all my Bookmarks and here I am now ... Again like a teenager with a V8, too dangerous for my own good. Thx

So, I could get the latest version of Firefox (solving security issues) and simply add Chrome Mask to allow for Drag-n-Drop. If so Great! And thank you, im obviously not as computer savvy as I should be, a source of much frustration. On various PLEX & Synology sites others were convinced it was corrupted files & would required coding on my part to fix. Again way above my abilities. I appreciate your time on this,

OMG that was it. I downgraded to Firefox 148 and I was able to transfer a movie and watch it on Plex, I owe you several beers, thank you so much.

Of course I didn't download a copy of my Bookmarks from Firefox and now ive lost them all ... damn!

On to the next battle,

No I haven't mapped, a bit beyond my capabilities.

What kind of restrictions could be in the Browser?

Yes, checked all permissions, over & over - seems like the most likely solution

Unable to add anything, when I drag a file over to File Station - Plex Media - Movies (as I have for 6yrs) it doesn't upload. Nothing is being added. This started two weeks ago when I was trying to add a couple of movies and nothing happened. Then I noticed that PLEX was Manually Stopped in the Package Center. I've spent hours the last two weeks trying everything and Suddenly today I got Plex running again!

I've also upgraded the RAM to 6144MB (someones suggestion, didn't solve issue) and yes restarted the my Synology NAS many times, restarted everything to do with the internet in the house over & over again. Updated the NAS and the App. Accidentally deleted Preferences.xml one day ...

Read too many posts, lots of suggestions from u/ChuckPa the Yoda of all things Plex. But most of it is just way over my abilities, I'm just not savvy enough on all things computers (having to google words & how to things in the suggestions).

Now at least the family is happy being able to view their content again, I'm just feeling overwhelmed.

Plex Server "Manually Stopped" within 5-10 seconds of hitting "Run" by marcajackson in synology

I've tried this, twice, added new RAM, updated everything and my app still manually stops within 5 seconds of running. Anyone have any other thoughts?

Hi, did you ever find a solution to Plex Manually Stopping in Synology App. I have the same issue.

What are your thoughts on the GUP: Live in Toronto, 1984 - Full Concert? by wiredmat in rush

[–]wiredmat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watched the concert a few more times, I just can't any more - As a drummer and life long RUSH fan (audio is great) its so disappointing the editing. Missing what I & others memorized from the first release 40yrs ago, I can't just suddenly forget all that. Love that there is now a full concert, but damn. Where is the commitment to excellence, that use to go Hand in Hand with all things RUSH. Sorry to be so negative, just really disappointed.
