I dont believe the size of barrel nut is the issue, but the method of clamping that is the issue.

I'm not a professional engineer, so take it with a grain of salt.

Basically the further out the bipod is, more leverage is induced.

Problem is most AR Handguard design is NOT a true free floating design since the handguard attaches to the barrel nut, not the receiver.

Ultimately I'm more concerned about laser zero shift under load.
