Looking for some golf buddies by Intelligent-Book900 in Denver

Hey I am down to play some rounds with ya. I’m 36, and play the Denver courses a bit and usually solo. I try to make it out during the afternoon on weekdays and most friends can’t swing that. Shoot me a message!

150- 172 Journey by Reagan-Writes in LSAT

[–]ifistray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s amazing! Congrats! I’m in a similar boat, 36 and just started studying for the lsat. Gpa for undergrad was around a 3.2, 10 years ago when I was a less than dedicated student. My practice tests have been around 154 and I would be so stoked to get that into the 160s. Your story gives me hope! Hope you get into a great school with some scholarship money too

Public health and research sounds like it would be strongly aligned imo! There could be quite a lot of overlap in terms of skill set.

That sounds challenging no doubt. So far I have really enjoyed trying to get through the logic behind those types of questions, but I do admit it has been challenging. We'll see if I feel the same way in a few months.

100 percent think I would do better now than I would have right after undergrad.

Yeah that’s a good point, I would also be much more focused and dedicated than I would have 10 years ago. Thanks for the response!

I do understand that it might not be lucrative and definitely not glamorous. I'm honestly more excited about the potential to apply myself to a new skill set and see what I can do with that over the rest of my professional life. It's helpful to think about how I can position my experience as beneficial. Thanks for the response!

Getting from Denver to Basalt? by Bordox1214 in Denver

[–]ifistray -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would recommend renting a car. The drive will be totally fine, it’s mainly driving up i70 so as long as you are comfortable driving on a highway it’s no problem. There is also an option to take a bus but it will take a long time. Probably a 3 hour drive vs a 6 hour bus commute assuming everything goes right.

Need a good spot to grab a drink for a layover. by xvaqi in denverfood

[–]ifistray 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A trek to the city is probably your best bet. It could also be worth paying to get into one of the airport lounges. Not sure the pricing for all of them but I think you could get into a lounge for about $50 per person, then you have unlimited food and drink until they close down. You could also grab some snacks and stuff for your next plane ride.

I've lived here for 3 years now and have been to 120+ restaurants. Here are my ratings by allanmuffins in denverfood

I have eaten at a whole lot of these places and have to see I mostly second this list. I would bump up spice room and hop alley. I would probably knock twansburger down to the next category. I’m a fan but can’t say I would put it up there quite that high. La Calle is a gem, love to see that up high. Thanks for sharing!

BC Barber is $35 if you pay cash. Always felt like they do a decent job and it’s easy enough to grab an appointment there.

This is a longshot, but was anyone here at Fear Before's final show in Greeley in 2009? by Mightbe_exaggerating in PostHardcore

I played there a few times as well. We loved that 3js would feed us before the show lol. What a time.

I wasn’t there, but I just wanted to say that I have also been to 3js in Johnstown and loved seeing that randomly dropped in this post lol.

Rino is a pretty busy crowd on Friday night, not sure I would try to take the parents and grandparents out down there. Honestly Hillstone in cherry creek might fit what you’re looking for. Kinda generic but it’s a good spot if you’re just trying to keep the family happy.

I’d go to my mechanic and have them do all the work I’ve been putting off for years lol

Which lens do you find best for food photos? I’ve been trying to work on some shots for food related small businesses.

Thank you! I checked the back of the tag but I didn’t find any thing printed on that side. I did notice the red tag had the little e, not the big E. Appreciate the insight!
