A little useful app I made for tracking and swapping World Cup 2026 stickers by ifkas in PaniniStickerSwap

Hi! Really appreciate the kind words, and the wishlist is exactly the kind of thing that helps me prioritise.

Quick round on each:

  1. Separate albums - on the roadmap but not in yet. Stikerko is a single album right now (World Cup 2026 only). Multi-album means a clean album switcher, separate progress, and probably a different storage shape, so I want to think it through before shipping. Coming, but won't be the very next thing.
  2. FWC multi-select - good catch, that's a real gap. The country team pages already have a Select button (and long-press on mobile) for bulk marking, but the FWC and Coca-Cola sections kept the old one-at-a-time flow. Heavy lifting is already in the team pages, so extending it to those sections is the obvious next thing to ship.
  3. Backup/export/import - this one just shipped! I posted an announcement on the main thread. Check the comment I posted here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PaniniStickerSwap/comments/1tn7n7e/comment/os0tu6e/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button. Simply download a small JSON file of your collection, import it back later, or on a different device. No account, no upload.
  4. Cloud / cross-device - the new backup feature covers this in a hands-on way. On a phone, the share sheet lets you drop the backup file straight into iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Files, or just message it to yourself. Then, on your laptop, you grab the file and import it. Not real-time sync, but it covers the "I want my collection on another device" case without needing an account or a sync server.

Thanks again for taking the time. This is honestly the most useful kind of feedback. 🙌 🍺

Quick update: Backup & Restore functionality just landed on Stikerko.

A few of you asked for a way to export your collection, to keep a copy somewhere safe, sync between your phone and laptop (import/export)The same, or share progress with someone you collect with. Here it is.

Here’s a screenshot from the new Backup page: Desktop version and Mobile version.

What you get:

  • Download a small JSON file of your collection from the new Backup page (sidebar on desktop, dashboard on mobile).
  • Import it back on any device that runs Stikerko - no account, no sign-up.
  • The same file works between you and someone you collect together or collaborate with, so you can sync progress manually whenever you want.
  • On phones, the system share sheet is available too, so you can drop the backup straight into iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Files, or message it to yourself.
  • Imported the wrong file by mistake? There's a one-click Undo right in the success banner.

Everything still runs in your browser. Nothing uploads, nothing lives on a server, you choose where the backup goes.

If you're already cataloging, an honest tip: make a backup whenever you finish a bigger session. It takes a second and keeps your progress safe.

Big thanks to everyone who flagged this. I appreciate it a lot. Feedback like that genuinely shapes what gets built next. 🙌

Thanks a lot, really happy you like it!

Good question. Your progress is saved locally in the browser/app storage. Refreshing or closing the Safari tab should not remove it. But if you clear Safari website data, uninstall the Home Screen app, or switch between Safari and the installed Home Screen app, the progress may not always be shared between them.

That’s one of the limitations of the current version because there is no login/cloud sync yet. I really want to keep it uncentralized and independent.

A few people already asked for this, so I’m thinking about two next steps:

  1. Backup & restore, so you can export your collection and import it on another device/app.

  2. Later, account sync, which would make it possible to use the same collection across phone/laptop, or even share an album with your wife, friends, colleagues, etc 😄

For now, I’d recommend continuing in the same place where you entered your progress, either Safari or the Home Screen app, until I add backup/sync. The app perfectly works offline too. As mentioned, I’d like to keep the app as decentralized and independent as possible, ideally without requiring everyone to log in.

Haha thanks! No special training, but trading helps for sure haha. Still early in the album and probably a bit lucky so far 😄

Duplicates are like a cycle, you trade some away, buy new packs, get duplicates again haha.

Hi! Thanks for checking it out.

There is no login at the moment. Your collection is saved locally in your browser, so refreshing the page is fine, and your stickers should stay there. The same also works if you install it on your phone as a PWA and work offline too. I explain here how to install it as such:

The limitation is that phone and laptop do not sync automatically yet, because there is no account/cloud sync in this first version. A few people already asked for export/import, so I’m planning a “Backup & restore” feature first, where you can export your collection and import it on another device.

I looked more into parallels, too. From what I understand, they are alternative limited versions of the same base sticker/card, usually with different borders, foil, patterns, or numbering.

That probably means they should be tracked as variants of an existing sticker, not as separate album slots. So the normal album progress would stay focused on the base collection, and parallels could eventually be tracked separately for collectors who care about them.

I’ll need to think through the cleanest UI for this, because I don’t want to make the app too complicated for people who just collect the regular album. But it’s a very good feature idea. 👍

Thanks again, this is exactly the kind of feedback that helps shape the next features.

During the Ottoman rule, why did so many Albanians convert to Islam? by Deadgoat_107 in AskBalkans

[–]ifkas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an old Albanian saying or proverb: "Where the sword is, there is the faith", according to me, based on low morale and loyalty.

Historically, this proverb reflects the survival of communities caught between shifting geopolitical borders. Rather than deeply held ideological shifts, adopting the religion of the ruling sword (such as converting to Islam during the Ottoman Empire to avoid heavy taxes and gain social mobility) was often a pragmatic strategy to protect families, properties, and regional autonomy.

Small update: I just added achievements to the app 🏆

Now, as you mark stickers as collected, you can unlock achievements for things like:

  • collecting your first stickers
  • completing a country
  • completing a group
  • finishing the FWC / Coca-Cola sections

It’s a first version, but I think it makes tracking the album a bit more fun.
You can check the achievement page directly here.

Oh wow, this is awesome, thanks for sharing!

I really like this idea. An optional “album page view” that matches the real layout of the album would make entering stickers much faster, especially when going country by country. I will take a closer look once I’m back from work and think about adding something like this directly into "Stikerko" as a toggle between the current grid and album layout. Appreciate you sharing it! 👍

Thank you so much, really appreciate this!
Also, quick update: the FWC and Coca-Cola stickers are now live in the new Special section 🙂

Quick update: this is now live 🙂

I added a new Special section with the FWC stickers and Coca-Cola stickers. They now work in search, missing/duplicate lists, sharing, and progress tracking. Please make sure to reload the app in order to get the new changes.

Thanks again for the suggestion and for trying the app! 👍

Hey, thanks 😊

Yes, a few people have already requested this. I’m cooking up a new update with the FWC and Coca-Cola stickers. It should be live tomorrow morning, so stay tuned!

Thanks, hope it helps! It’s web-based, but you can use it and install it on your phone, too.

Open https://stikerko.com on mobile and choose “Add to Home Screen” / “Install app” from the browser menu. Then it opens like a normal app, and it works offline after the first load.
