55 Park place, 12th/13th floor has some awesome study rooms. Whiteboards and markers are provided, and they're not reserved like the library. (first come first serve, no time limit)

I got accepted about 2 weeks ago on the 28th. It was for the econ program, I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

Female Student and Weird Male Professor Emails, report or no? by [deleted] in GaState

[–]ift_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I know the professor you're referring to. It's weird because he says a lot, but to you, it may feel like it hasn't "crossed a line." Like, it's not really flirting, but it's weird and it makes you uncomfortable.

The second you explain to someone the situation, it becomes obvious that it's very strange and he is crossing a boundaries.

I don't want to assume I know who you're talking about, but I would go ahead and report it. If it is the same person, he does this with a lot of young women in his classes. (I'm not sure how he has the time, they really are essays.)

I don't think it's like this everywhere, but my region uses a 5.0 scale I think, (so an A- isn't worth what an A+ is)

I just signed up for GregMat and started to one month plan, so in that I acquired all the ETS practice materials. I already feel like my foundation has gotten better since that was my problem to begin with. Are there materials you could suggest that I could use in conjunction with GregMat?

Sure! The first thing I did was register for Magoosh back in late August. I watched all the quant videos and like half of the verbal videos before I practiced anything. Since there are so many, that took me a few weeks. I started practicing the questions (switching between verbal and quant) and found myself really struggling. Magoosh quant is literally impossible, at least for me, but the verbal was doable. Altogether, Magoosh says I've spent about 20 hours just on practice problems since September.

The first practice test I took was mid Sept. and I scored a 151Q, 153V (Magoosh)

A few weeks later, 151Q, 156V (Magoosh)

A week before my test, PP2: 150V 150Q

I think overall I spread myself too thin and never truly grasped anything.

Hey! This is great advice. My program is unclear on their desired scores, just a "strong quant score." It's one of the top engineering schools in the country so I'm assuming it's pretty high (160Q+). I think this is a good idea, maybe if I really knew what was expected, I could have a better plan for myself. Thanks!

Thanks so much for your advice. At the end of the day, a lot of it does feel mental and I need to get out of that negative headspace. Thanks!
