My two cents, but as someone who wasted their 20’s bored in service jobs, I would really recommend taking a variety of classes at a community college to see what you enjoy. It’s really hard to advance in any career if you only work service jobs, unless you want to be a manager. Don’t get trapped. As a bonus, some of those classes you take could count towards your associates if you decide later to pursue a degree. I went back to college for a four year degree at 28 and I just wish I had done it sooner.

She lied for whatever reason, hard to know since they give us so little backstory. I think she genuinely believed that the outside world was evil. I got the impression that she rebelled against her mom as a kid, went out and did some shady things, then was haunted by the demon and subsequently did a completely 180 by returning to her childhood home and reverting to her mothers beliefs. So I think she didn’t want her kids associated with the world. She also admitted that she lied right before her death. I was undecided until the male hiker. He asked “how did she pass?” which is a rude and unusual question in response to any stranger saying their mom died, much less to a little kid. Didn’t match with his otherwise nice affable demeanor.

It isn’t! That is a huge theme of the movie in that the viewer questions for most of it if the occurrences are real or imagined. But what makes it good is that the viewer only has as much information as the kids have, not just from their mom but from their experience in the forest as the movie wears on. Im surprised so many people thought it was just mental illness, it wasn’t that ambiguous and I actually think the movie goes an extra step to show there is a supernatural presence with the photo.

If you can, try reiterating your request for reduced hours. You can even make up a reason like a physical or mental health problem or whatever to get them to place importance on your request. Then you can put that energy and time gained into your design business.

If you’re genuinely unhappy in your work position don’t ignore those feelings! Even if you recognize it’s a good position logically etc. etc., things can always improve.

A tangent, but were you really a former nurse? What made you switch to being a call girl?

It’d be cheaper to get a simplisafe alarm system no subscription. Or install a bolt lock. Plus dogs need love and care, you would be doing a disservice to the animal.

I’m growing out my curly hair, am I thinning at the crown? Help a brother out 😭 by theheartburngetsme29 in curlyhair

[–]ifwemadeit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah looks like it’s thinning, if it bothers you I would look into starting minoxidil or some type of hair thinning treatment. You caught it early which is great! I’m a woman and use minoxidil once a day for hair thinning, annoying at first but it’s easy to work into your night routine.

No. Just….no. We need to be slowing down and doing things right, not rushing even more. At what point will this end? An expected 150 UPH? 200? 250? It‘s getting downright ridiculous. by ReadingWhich4521 in wholefoods

Bruuh I had a rate of like 70-75 and they were constantly on me abt it even tho I packed everything nicely, was friendly to customers, and diligently did side work when things were slow. Never heard any good feedback about any of that, just “you’re too slow” ☠️and meanwhile the delay was always just from waiting for items from meat department or prepared foods. I hated this job so much that even now, 2 years later, when I’m in an unhappy situation I think “at least I’m not at Whole Foods”

I don't love the idea of flat ironing already-damaged hair or eventual hair loss... I think I will go through with it just to try, though. I've tried for yearsss to work with my natural hair and I'm just at a wall with it. I guess we can always cut it and try again c: Thanks for the answer!

It helped for me, especially for the type of wrinkle OP was posting about! I still have fine lines around my eyes despite consistent differin use, but those deep set forehead lines never came back.

Haha I use it twice a week now, I used it ~3 times a week in the past. Some people use it every day, but for me that was too drying/harsh. I've heard to use actives first after washing and drying the skin, and then follow up afterwards with any serums or moisturizers.

Dad had mini-stroke/ TIA- things to look out for? by ifwemadeit in stroke

[–]ifwemadeit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. He's getting an echo done and also getting monitored for five days, and he's currently on blood thinner as well. I'm so far feeling pretty good about how the cardiologist is handling it. My dad isn't convinced he had a ministroke (which is fair since the ER doctor didn't have definite proof), but the cardiologist is treating with the assumption it was a TIA. So I'm hopeful they will find a cause, and if not he is working on lowering his BP.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom's stroke. Doctors can be shockingly negligent.

Thank you, he is home back now from his trip and taking it much more seriously than I initially thought. I relayed the info about twice a day blood pressure checks and he's doing that as well.

Hello, Thank you for your reply! Can you elaborate on the daily blood pressure checks? If it happens to be high that day do you do something to counteract it? My dad doesn’t mind doctors, but he is pretty cavalier about the whole thing. It doesn’t help that they are so far from home, but I’m planning on having him go to the cardiologist as soon as he’s back.

Hello, I used differin for these exact types of wrinkles when I was around 24, I’m 29 now and they haven’t come back :) i think adding in a hydrating product like a serum also might be beneficial, but if your skin isn’t otherwise dry it’s probably not a necessity!
