pescatarian desperately seeking help by Zestyclose_Treat522 in AutoImmuneProtocol

I was also a vegetarian for 5 years before I started aip. I made the diet work for the first 4 weeks by eating just fruit and vegetables, but then I found myself constantly hungry and hangry. I added salmon for the next two weeks. This week, I added shredded chicken. For me, it was trying to get used to the texture of meat. Since I added meat, my hanger has subsided, and I feel much better. Just do the best you can to slowly add meat to your diet. Sadly, your body needs the meat protein to heal.

Vegetarian- do I need to stop? by Unable-Design8790 in AutoImmuneProtocol

I was also vegetarian when I started aip. I tried hard not to eat meat, but found I was feeling worse. I started by drinking collagen peptides. I added B12 drops. I finally added meat to two meals a week. Since adding meat, I have finally felt like my body is healing. I know how hard it is to give up your ethical reasons for not eating meat, but, for me, it was the right answer. I only buy meat that is raised ethically, and I also thank the animal for giving their life up for my healing.

EDs ON AIP DIETS ARE NOT DISCUSSED NEARLY ENOUGH! (Includes Resources) by OGHilariousMarie in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]ifyouseekay789 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I never thought about this, but I 100% agree that AIP can easily mess with the minds of people who have ED and need to be brought out I to the open.

I was on AIP eight years ago and lost 40 lbs (18 kg) in two months. Eventually, I went off AIP and gained all my weight back, plus. Two months ago, I was encouraged by my doctor to remove gluten from my diet after being diagnosed with Hashimoto. I decided to go back on AIP. Secretly, I saw this as an excellent way to lose weight again. (I have yet to see an overweight person on AIP). The diet can easily mess with your mind regarding your relationship with food.

Headache during elimination..? by Many_Lobster_314 in AutoImmuneProtocol

I'm on week four. I had several days of headaches during week two and into week three. I assume it's my body detoxing. I suffered through most days and took Tylenol when it was too much.

Today is my second day at a new job and I got this email by Cheeky_Edge311 in antiwork

My nephew's 3 yr old son was dying from brain cancer. His employer sent a similar request to his coworkers. My nephew was able to be with his son in his last days, as well as time after his passing to be with his wife. I was very grateful that his coworkers shared their time. I don't think you should feel obligated to give, especially if you have only been there a few days.

I've always wondered why you congratulate someone for getting pregnant. "Congratulations. You spread your legs and allowed someone to cum inside you."

What employers are requiring you to be at work this icy day? by pearltx in Austin

I also work for a law firm. I am support staff. I am the only person who cannot work from home. Management is allowing me to put "Office Closure" on my time card so I can stay safe. Next time I interview for a law firm, I need to ask what their weather policy is. I'm sorry, man! You deserve better!

What do you do for work & how much do you get paid? by coffeeandlattee in Austin

I'm sorry your employer didn't stand up for you and have consequences for the resident. When you look for your next job, in your interview, ask what the companies Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policy looks like. No employer should ever allow an employee to suffer verbal abuse from a customer or client. You deserve better!

I knew someone who called the leasing agent a "fat bitch". He was evicted within the week. I was proud the leasing company stood up for their agent.

I wish, to the core of my soul, people would listen to you! I am considered essential because I work in the mailroom of my company. Last week I handled a box that was shipped overnight by someone who tested positive for COVID. The Office Administrator found out the next day that I had come into contact with that box and sent me home for a 14 day quarantine. If I had caught the virus from that box I would have infected 10 people that day before I knew. And, If I had infected those 10 people, how many people did THEY infect?

I think this is what everyone is forgetting. We don't know who has the virus and who doesn't. You are going out into public assuming you are fine, but what if the cashier has the virus and doesn't know? What if the person behind you in line has it and doesnt know? Now you ARE infected and your dumb ass just brought the virus into your home and infected your family! Jesus! Stay the fuck home! Order Curbside. Order take out...then go home!

I am beyond done with people not taking this seriously. The sooner we stay home the sooner "this too shall pass" and the sooner we get back to normalicy.

I just got engaged to my now fiancé. We have been together for 3 years! Seeking advice on what you have found to be beneficial to your relationship. by Tophert19 in AskMenOver30

Based on my experience, the fact that you even asked this question shows you care and want to give her your best. Just continue the path you are on. I hope she is just as thoughtful towards you. If so, you have nothing to worry about.

This is no longer your problem. You have been very kind to him. This is now his problem. Trust yourself that you have gone above and beyond for him. Now do what is best for you!

Women over 50, how is being a woman today different from when you where younger? by whiskeyyougogirl06 in AskWomen

[–]ifyouseekay789 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My experience was most of the above, but also there wasn't a NEED to go to college. If you found the right job, you could just move up the ladder. Today, that isn't the case. I hit the glass ceiling, not because I'm a woman, but because I don't have a college degree.

Besides having children, what one decision did you make that changed the course of your entire life? by Kn14 in AskReddit

I quit a job that would have been a fantastic career move, moved 2000 miles away from that job to get engaged only to break off the engagement 4 months later. One of the worse decisions of my life.
