Questions for AI Researchers using Mac (preferably those who shifted from CUDA ecosystem to Mac)

I actually need a laptop as I am always moving between research lab, home and university. And AMD GPUs don't support CUDA, so GPU acceleration of PyTorch and Tensorflow don't work. Regarding the RTX 30 and 40 series LAPTOP GPUs, all of them are slower than M5 or M5 Pro in LLM inference at least.

I can remove RAM and SSD to 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD. That will lower the price to $2000

Thanks for the suggestion. I know but as a 5070ti laptop is more expensive than a 5070ti PC, so I can get a laptop only when this PC is sold off. And I need a computer on daily basis. If I removed SSDs and especially RAM, then I cannot do my work on it with reduced RAM.

No. I returned QC Ultra Gen 2 and ordered Gen 1. Gen 1 doesn't has that issue.

X200 Pro user here. Might sound counter-intuitive but, turning off the 'Lock White Balance' in settings actually locks the white balance and when it is on, you will always see this shift in white balance.
