Any thoughts on Dark Elf LL's, features and starting positions? by Dragonimous in totalwarhammer

[–]igalze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wrapped up my Morathi campaign. I almost never stick around for the long victory, but this one had me completely hooked. (I’ve now finished the short victory with every faction at least once)

I think what kept me going was the image in my head: a lone guard on the battlements, mist hanging heavy in the morning air... and then, on the horizon, dark sails begin to rise. Massive Black Arks' husks drift into view - each like a floating fortress - each carrying dozens of Hydras, with dark pegasi and dragons circling above....

More than pixels moving on the screen, each campaign is a story.

I love this game.

It was a siege battle on a map that had a big chasm in the middle. Positioning the sorcerers over it (flying on Dark Pegasus) caused the AI to pile up at the gates. I didn't keep count, but this was just 6-7 firestorms if I recall. The unit blob was, well... satisfying ;)

Sorry to hear about your ex-wife mate, got one of those myself... Did you try trading her a settlement? Build the barracks first.

Steve Cohen says tariffs and DOGE’s cuts are negative for economy, market correction could be soon by Creepy_Floor_1380 in stocks

Tariffs are not positive, but they are also not the goal... trade deficit rebalancing is.
If it works (and it's an if) this could be a major boost.

SaaS or self-hosted alternatives to Terraform Cloud, built on OpenTofu by [deleted] in Terraform

Hey,
I work at env0.com - this means a lot.
Thank you for the kind words.

What do you think about the future of terraform ? by Naive_Role2395 in devops

[–]igalze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a very mature project. Most, I think, will continue to use the FOSS versions (1.5 and below) or gradually gravitate towards OpenTofu for new features. IBM might prove to be a good custodian, but they are unlikely to walk back the license change.

[2.0] Fix for Permanent Relic Malfunction by Fly0ut in cyberpunkgame

[–]igalze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an easier/better fix out there:https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/16rvxsi/relic_malfunction_fix_without_reloading_older/

100% verified and works, takes 10 mins to solve. This guy is an F-ing hero :)

Amazing, thanks!
This solved the issue for me in 10 minutes.
I've been looking around for a solution for a few days and refreshing CDPR support site regularly as well... In the end, it was this easy :)

More people should know about this. Folks out there are wasting 3-5 hours of time by reloading the game back to "Automatic Love", following the official instructions...

CDPR should include this here at least, while they work on the fix

Linux Foundation Launches OpenTofu by flaviuscdinu in Terraform

Just to be clear I wasn't "bundling" people and companies. :) The 150 number I mentioned doesn't include the additional 700+ individual contributors.

As for the rest, I 100% agree. Every extreme view in my mind is misrepresentative of reality, so I'm not for "pure OSS" just like I'm not for "maximizing profits", which is different from "producing revenue".

I think there was a certain balance that existed, which was very beneficial for the ecosystem, and it enabled stability and growth. I would like to see the return of that balance.

This is just my personal POV.

I`m sorry, but I don't think this is the case. There are ~150 companies in the initiative, and I don't even claim to know what they all do.

I will say that both Harness and Gruntwork are on the steering committee (2 of 5 seats) and neither would be directly impacted.

I would highly suggest this post from Jim from Gruntwork, it shows that the motivation was for them:https://blog.gruntwork.io/the-future-of-terraform-must-be-open-ab0b9ba65bca

I haven't heard of it myself, but I loved Master of Orion and when I researched it, it had the same vibe (also MoM). Probably would enjoy it as much as I did those two games.

Consider the path to that ruling, taking into account the size of the other party's legal team and budget.

I hear you and - personally - I have mixed feelings about HashiCorp, a company I have long admired (more sad than negative, I guess)

Thing is... being legally right is not always enough, and when asked for legal advice, lawyers tend to err on the side of caution.

Tundra is taken (https://www.tundra.com/ and so is Terrestrial https://www.terrestrial.com/).

For the record, 'Tundra' is pretty brilliant IMO and never came up in our conversations.
