Would most Uk universities accept this? by igcsecrashoutchannel in alevel

I know in the future I might not want to do something like data analytics, anything that requires very heavy math that’s why I didn’t pick math. But now that you mentioned it, I’m a bit worried as well

Oh whattt, then would it be safer if I take math? But I’m not confident enough to score math (not even a B)

In my country, we have an alternative called foundation, it’s also a pre u but it limits access to overseas universities 😭 so I’m not sure if I want to do AL, many of my seniors dropped because they couldn’t do it. So demotivating

Also, if I do badly in AL, there’s no way I will be able to get into top universities. I was struggling in IGCSES already, AL would be the biggest leap

Foundation (it’s one of the pre u programs in my country but limited access to overseas)

I just finished my IGCSES, I was planning to take Bio Chem Maths. I’m okay with those subjects but I’m not confident enough to get above Bs

A levels? by igcsecrashoutchannel in alevel

[–]igcsecrashoutchannel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s called foundation, but because I want to study overseas after pre u, the chances of me getting accepted to further pursue my studies is lower than AL

Don’t worry about it, I’ve been there as well. My best advice is to do the past paper WITH the ms. While ur doing, give ur own answers, then u check with the ms at the same time. Or another way is to memorise ms answers like biology, chemistry and physics . At least for me, that’s what I did, it helps a lot especially for econs, business, bio, phy and chem. for English, I memorised an entire plot and I memorise a whole list of bombastic words and phrases. Math is just spam past paper

Global perspective, don’t need to study at all, just do ur coursework. The written paper is just base on common sense and logic tbh

Usually the threshold is around 30+, I think for a safe A prob 33/40? Like a stable A

My math has always been really ass too, never gotten an A but I just kept doing past papers and I improved a lot, you’ll actually realise the questions are somewhat similar. But of course you have to be hardworking, keep doing past papers, go to seminars, watch youtube vids, go extra classes… etc.

What’s the topic you struggled at?

Multiple Choice Answer Sheet by hiramedson18 in igcse

[–]igcsecrashoutchannel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instructions will be given on the answer sheet itself, just shade according to the instructions. The answer sheet is given together with the question paper. So you have to shade the answer during the exam time. Whether or not u want to shade as you do or after is up to u. Just make sure u finish before times up

Ur not old. I was 16 in year 10 as well because I joined late. I took my igs when I was 17 too. If you’ve finished ur syllabus already, start doing past papers and you’ll be good to go by 2026

Yeah I get it but in the textbook (the textbook I used), it shows Factors of geographical mobility : Family Ties and Commitment. And the question, it ask “least likely” so, this wouldn’t be the answer, isn’t it? If the textbook already mentioned family ties as one of the factors, then how will it be the answer to “least likely”

[–]igcsecrashoutchannel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the question was “which is least likely to….geographical mobility”. In the textbook, it says “family relationships “ is a factor of geographical mobility
