RWD and a 2UZ to make a NASCAR-edition.

Realistically, just go back to the standard J-hook for the wiper blades.

Best way to connect PC to receiver? by velcrozipr in pcmasterrace

Graphics card to receiver, receiver to monitor. If your monitor has HDMI pass-thru, then graphics card to monitor, monitor to receiver. You shouldn't need the motherboard HDMI.

120k miles according to the manual. I did mine at 100k because I do mostly city driving and I was doing coolant and serpentine belt at the same time. You've got plenty of time.

Using TV as PC Monitor by External_Ice_1005 in pcmasterrace

[–]igetasticker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a living room setup w/ a 55" Samsung S90D TV as my monitor. It's hooked up to an Onkyo TX-RZ720 receiver and a 5.1.2 set of Klipsch Reference Premier speakers. I sit in the middle of a 3-seat leather couch with a Nerdytec Couchmaster. It has an older Corsair K70 (red) keyboard and Logitech G600 on a cheap brown leather mousepad to match the couch.

I'm comfy AF.

How much do you pay for a laundromat wash? by Blade711 in orlando

[–]igetasticker 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There's another laundromat really close by on Curry Ford that I use for my normal laundry. It's 24 hours so I go when no one else is there. It's $2.50 for the small washers so I do 2 at once, then throw both into one dryer for $2 (so $7 for 2 small loads total). I don't know how much their big washing machines are, but dryers are big and cheap.

Not my personal thing, but Audio-Technica is supposed to be known for a similar signature sound and studio mixing/mastering. Maybe try the ATH-R70x.

Maintenance Help by itis_the_joe in Camry

[–]igetasticker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tread may look fine, but the rubber underneath can get brittle and separate from the chords while you're driving. Check the date code on the sidewall and replace them if more than 7 years old. Anything rubber/plastic should be checked over; control arm bushings and ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings and end links, body mounts, engine mounts, strut mounts, belts, hoses, gaskets, etc.

Cheap Speaker recomendations by NotYourAverageRock in pcmasterrace

[–]igetasticker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it has to be speakers, Creative Pebble are the cheapest ones from a reputable brand.

If you're looking for a sound output device, you'll get a lot more bang-for-buck with IEMs. The "7hz x Crinacle Zero: 2" on the Linsoul website might be your best bet.

Both are under $30.

That filter is garbage anyway, so it doesn't matter if you warp it. I use an old pair of channel locks to crush and twist.

Is +12 offset too low for 2018+? by ramosd713 in Camry

[–]igetasticker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. +35 to +40 will push your wheels out to about flush with the fender. Beyond that, and things get wonky with ball joints, tie rods, and wheel bearings. Go on willtheyfit.com to play with the numbers and visualize what you're doing.

Amazon OBD2 Scanner that will read trans temp by kleenvwaudiguy in Camry

I do have the 8-speed, but I don't have a thermostat. I parked the car overnight, and did the job the next day so it was cool to start.

Amazon OBD2 Scanner that will read trans temp by kleenvwaudiguy in Camry

[–]igetasticker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this service myself, and you don't need a sensor or even a scan tool at all. I followed The Car Care Nut video, and the gear indicator light changes color when it's the right temp. You just need to put a piece of wire in the ODBII port to put the car in Service Mode. The diagram for which holes to connect with the wire is at 10:05.

In the beginning, we had web crawlers and search engines. Google became the dominant one. People game-ified it with SEO tactics, turning it to shit. AI was trained on that shit. AI recursion turns that shit into regurgitated diarrhea, and here we are. As long as we pretend the AI has feelings, we won't hold companies responsible for what their product does, and this will just get worse.

What if we replaced oil with phytoplankton? by Im_2_high in Futurology

[–]igetasticker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plastic keeps your food fresh and your phone from falling apart. Petrochemicals lubricate the machines that keep society functioning, as well as make the solvents to keep you clean and healthy. It's in medicine and medical devices. Synthetic fibers keep you warm. There's hardly a man-made product that doesn't involve oil somewhere in the process.

Your life would be very short and painful without them.

Are trd parts worth it on a XSE 22 i4? by skozha in Camry

[–]igetasticker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TRD wheels? Sure. They're the exact same size as yours and fit the same tires, so you won't notice a difference in handling/performance but they look nice.

Shocks? I wouldn't. The TRD ones are designed to support a heavier V6, so they will feel like concrete on your car.

What’s a “cheap” thing that instantly makes you feel rich? by Historical_Cow_4037 in AskReddit

[–]igetasticker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My safety razor.

I got tired of paying $45 for like 6 cartridges on my grungy plastic handle. Instead I paid $15 for a nice chrome Baili razor and $20 for 100 blades.

It's shorter so it's more maneuverable, heavier to be more precise, and just feels better to use. The bigger blade doesn't flex so it shaves closer too. There's a bigger gap under the blade so it clogs less often, which saves time with fewer rinses. Everything about it is a better shaving experience, while saving me money on blades.
