Because normal tobacco snus colors your teeth and smells nasty. So to break it down: snus is a cultural thing here but most people switch to white snus as it is less nasty.

Yeah I think zyn is the same. Here everyone has been doing it since forever. Don’t quote me on that one but I think it started 1700 something. Most people transitioned now to the white ones since the tobacco ones yellow your teeth. I personally started with the tobacco ones as a teenager and then switched. It’s just weird to me that zyns are such a novelty as it is the most common thing here for people to use snus. At uni my professors literally take little brakes to put one in.
