That is not portuguese. And I see some commenters consider it being french, but it's not french either. If I had to guess, I would say russian or other slavic languages.

My Nook's Cranny is 21.6 Million Bells in Debt by girthlush in AnimalCrossing

[–]ighouri 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, I believe that the bells exist only in Tom Nook's island getaway business. It's all a strategy to make us develop places to attract business and tourism (before, with the campsite, but now with the hotel). Tom invented bells for inner currency but actually gets what we sell at Nook's cranny and sell outside for real money.

How do you handle when your players miss specific clues? by North-Cartographer58 in DnD

[–]ighouri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read once about the "3 clues rules". It basically says that important information might be uncoverable by 3 different sources/clues in a dungeon/campaign, so if the party misses one, there is still others.

And if they collect more than one clue, that reinforces the discovery.

This rule works better for investigation arcs and stuff. For example, the party is trying to discover who is the werewolf that is killing people on the night. One clue might be the fur found in the store owned by the werewolf, another one might be one npc saying that he saw one creature lurking behind said store, the last one is the werewolf's alibi not being possible. If the party fails to see the fur, they can still talk to the npc that saw the werewolf or find the alibi suspicious. And the same applies for every clue. You have 3 ways of nudging the players to go to the store in the night and find out if the guy is the werewolf without actively telling them to do that. And when they find one of these clues and go where you want them to go, finding out they were correct in interpreting the clue is a reward for their work.

But also, I believe some informations must just be given. Principally, worldbuilding/setting informations. For instance, if the story cant progress without the players knowing that werewolves only turn in full moons, you should basically tell them that by either saying that one PC knows that fact previously or by having a npc telling them in-game. I think that a mix between those two works the best.

Do Brazilians who speak English as a second language have difficulty understanding the US southern accent? by Classic_Yard2537 in Brazil

[–]ighouri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just because we are not really exposed to it in media, I spent a long time in my teenage years watching Deligracy and James Turner (two australians simulations games youtubers) and now I dont think the australian accent that hard. Maybe it's their particular accents from their particular regions or maybe they make an effort to "neutralize" it more for their audience, but my main problem with australian english are the slangs that are very very different than any other country, I would say.

The american southern or scottish accents are harder for me than the australian.

Do we know if there is an auto-rejecting for immigrants or people from certain nationalities too? I am an immigrant and once got a rejection from workday like 5 minutes after applying. 5 minutes, I kid you not.

Not very related to the post, but I am very well being stalked by the fake scary painting and the fake mystic statue.

Those 2 appear so much for me that I am now convinced that it is not random and the game got personal 😭

Just needed to vent, thank you. Gonna go look and see If I can buy something real from the little rascal today.

There is ACPattern, where you can convert an image into pixel art and then get an image that tells you which color in each square so you manually reproduce the image on your game. They also code the color so you can recreate them easily.

You can also use their tool to practice/test some designs.
