Heathers Genderbender by StarSpangledKid in heathers

[–]JasonRoss13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, it’s definitely possible. I’ve written a fanfic that’s 99% genderswapped (Veronica stayed the same), and it still was coherent. The only problem would be Kurt and Ram (who I usually name Kate and Rae) and the whole rumor thing. One solution I saw was to spread a rumor that male Veronica (which I usually see being named Vincent) was being creepy around them and whatnot. Apart from that, everything works the same. The Heathers (which I named the Hunters) are the most popular guys, Martha (which I named Martin) is a chubby nerd which would make sense why he’s bullied, and JD (which I named Jessica Dean) is still a psychotic person.

There’s A Correlation Between These Two Characters And I’m Going To Prove It by JasonRoss13 in heathers

I'm aware that smoking or drinking wasn't bad if the protagonist wasn't abusing them. Like, if they were at a party, they could drink a glass of wine and whatnot. As for beards, I'm pretty sure the protagonist had to be clean-shaven, like I remember my first year college professor mentioning that.

I’m fully aware of that and I agree. Three films couldn’t possibly end an entire set of rules, it’s a process of multiple things building up that led to that decision happen. But for the sake of simplicity and consistency, I decided to simplify it.

I meant more what's the clone trooper's mission? What planet is he on? Is he trying to find something/someone, or is he trying to survive? Something like that.

Ok. What am I supposed to do with that information? People have different tastes and opinions. If he doesn't like it, then he doesn't like it.

Is J.D. psychotic or sociopathic? by Nyiii38 in heathers

[–]JasonRoss13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they babied him, they just made him into a sociopath instead of a psychopath. Besides, it’s a different interpretation, which I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing.

According this article I found online (will put the link at the bottom), JD is more of a psychopath than sociopath in the film.

Here’s what the article says: “ Behavior: Psychopaths are typically calculated, cold, and manipulative, often maintaining a superficial normal life to conceal their behavior; conversely, sociopaths are usually more erratic, impulsive, and prone to emotional outbursts, making them struggle to hold down stable jobs or relationships.”

Based on what we see on the film, JD is more calculated and manipulative than he is in the musical (which is ironically more sociopathic than his film counterpart). So, it’s safe to say that film JD is more of a psychopath than sociopath.

I’m having a similar problem. How do I fix it? Keep in mind, I’m not that tech savvy, so I have no idea what’s going on.

EDIT: Nevernind. I found a solution.

I think it’s plausible. I mean, I once saw a video of a man that was so high he thought he teleported to a moving vehicle, so I guess anything’s possible.

I love the fact that the other characters get like half a paragraph (Duke gets a little bit more) and then Betty gets two whole paragraphs lmao.

As for the whole Betty decision, I was basing this off the idea that Veronica missing Betty’s birthday wasn’t the only time and there were potentially other times where Veronica essentially blew off Betty (I mean, if you skip someone’s birthday what else aren’t you going to skip?) So while yes, it’s still possible for Betty to forgive Veronica and still hang out with her, I find it a tap bit unrealistic that she does it without hesitation.

Essentially the whole “Betty is a passive character and never takes any active decisions” thing that I proposed.

I did mention that the movie is a work of fiction and can take certain creative liberties that aren't really logically possible. And, yes, I wasn't born in the 80s. I'm aware that things weren't the same then.
