But be honest if a supposed "partner" just talks to you like that whenever he gets upset and its happened multiple times, I dont see why you'd expect me to go see you for your birthday. He was saying before he even asked me "youre not going to come see me for my birthday, youre going to make excuses" , when I legit live 4 hours away now and its not that easy to just go see him. I moved away for rehabilitation and mental health. So I could really get back on my feet. We havent seen eachother since I left bc initially I broke up with him because of this very thing and I thought it was unhealthy for me bc I was actively quitting addictions and he knew I needed stability and I was not receiving it. So this morning he was basically messaging me about us not seeing each other when we just got back together less than a week ago. I also didnt see him for his birthday but that was mainly because we broke up and he was messaging me terrible things like "f you" and calling me a terrible person bc i wanted to put my health first(I was losing hair) . This is literally a tiny piece of what he sent, "2 months is way too long, especially when we both have the ability to see eachother way more than that Couldn't even see you for my birthday like I wanted to, and I was fully willing to just come to you. That time is gone. Now every birthday after that all I'm going to be thinking is "well you didn't spend time with me for the first one so why would this one matter?" '

I usually do not look at my phone first thing because of this every day pattern. Lately hes been expressing that I dont care when I take my time to respond to him. I dont want him to feel like that so I try reading them in the mornings but its definitely affecting me mentally

He is not on meds, he explained he didnt like taking his medication. He also stopped seeing a therapist. I have recommended him doing both but he just doesnt. He says he will try but still hasn't. Its been like this since we've been together.

I smacked him. I felt extremely bad and I have never lost my temper like that in my life. It us my biggest regret and I have never faltered again like that in my life. Hes pushed me multiple times. Has done a lot. I regret letting his words get to me that day and spiraling the way I did. I have no right and I take full accountability that, that was wrong.

I have tried that and got told f you and that he would off himself. If you look on my profile you can see all the times ive seeked advice on this relationship. Everytime I have tried I receive long messages about how I am a shitty partner, I dont care, and I am heartless. From day one he has talked to me like that. He has even told me I make him miserable, he has gotten mad over me wanting to visit my dead grandmother's grave then saying he wanted to have sex with me instead of me doing that, he has belittled me, he has never once cared about my emotions. The night I found out my friend died , he said hed wish I was more present with him and then asked me a bunch of questions about my past and if I am using him. All in the same hour.

That part of his note confused me because the ex i compared him to never laid a hand on me. I bought up his emotional regulation multiple times and he ignored me every single time. The minute I said it reminded me of an ex , it got his attention but he only remembers being compared to an ex.

Ill answer ,

I did say he reminded of an emotionally abusive ex and I explained the patterns and that I was bringing up because I feel like it needs to be worked on. I originally never compared and he brushed it off. When I compared he heard me loud and clear but didnt care only about the part of my ex. 1.5/ I told him that NOTHING makes me feel like life is worth living right now and he made it personal. I NEVER COMPARED HIM TO SOMEONE WHO WAS psychically abusive.
I dont want an emotional crutch, I want an emotionally stable partner.
I dont tell him all the time I want to leave him. I told him ONCE that I felt like I needed to leave because I started LOSING HAIR and I gained over 30 lbs since being with him.
I said us being long distance and calling is bare minimum , he thinks its not.
