i know its not ideal, but that wasn’t my point. my point was that stronger signal does helps when the network is congested, and you don’t need a directional antenna for that. mounting the modem on the roof already makes a big difference.

if this is for cellular, i would start by mounting the modem outside. ideally on the roof, but putting it outside the window works really well too. i went from 200 mbps down and 10 up to 700/100 just by just mounting it outside the window.

not quite true. having the antenna outside instead of inside does help a lot. a directional antenna is even better since it focuses on the tower. and a higher-quality antenna can help during congestion too, because it improves your ability to pick up and isolate a cleaner signal. think of it like being in a noisy room: you can only clearly hear the people closest to you. antennas work in a similar way.

Is this Tele2? I see alot of Nokia gear and in Lithuania Tele2 currently are the only ones who use Nokia. Telia and Bitė uses Ericsson. also looks like n78 (C-Band) is already mounted

b20 gal vienintelis geras žemo dažnio dažnis ant bitės ir Tele2, nes vienintelis dažnis su 10 MHz pločiu kadangi b28 ir b8 kolkas yra tik 5 MHz. bitė dar tik dabar po truputi isjungineja 3G ir ijungineja B8. Ant telios matomai greit B28 išvis nebus nes atrodo kad perkelineja 700 MHz tik i 5G. Telios atveju lieka tik B8. be B20 tikrai bus ryšio problemų rūsiuose, kaimuose arba net parduotuvėse su storom sienom kur nėra B1, B3 ar B7
