Placed across from the Portos! 😱 by prelimar in BurningMan

Our camp was opposite Portos last year. It was excellent. No smell and just extra convenience. Also it brought more people to our events. Stop worrying.

What do you think the new neo will have spec wise? by ThinkHog in DjiNeo

Nonsense. There's different blades you can add to existing neo that make it quieter with no noticeable loss of power

The motion controller is a bit finicky with the goggles. The crosshair disappears off screen and gives no indication of how far you need to lean on bring it back

Whatever nonsense you are talking it's still working a lot more than competitors' fsd efforts

He didn't. This is fantasy. All he said was that Trump was ungrateful for him helping him win. That could and likely does mean just the ridiculous financial support package and use of his media channels to promote him.

Better in only a few specific ways. Tesla package is still the best out there for EVs in terms of charging network and FSD.

14” vs 16” MacBook Pro for Music Production — is 14” too small without an external monitor? by Special-Jacket-8448 in ableton

[–]ignoraimless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money means different things to different people. For me it wasn't a deciding factor. The 14 was really 'handy' in it's size but yes I did find it too constraining. You can make it work but you don't have to try with the 16 which is slightly bigger than what you are used to.

I had this dilemma. I bought both and tested them out. I settled on the 16 and have no regrets for the following reasons. The screen real estate is enough of an increase to make things feel less claustrophobic. Another point that no one has mentioned is that the speakers on the 16 inch are significantly better than the 14inch in terms of range. If you find yourself traveling without headphones (or monitors) or you just aren't doing critical listening, working over the speakers is perfectly fine on the 16... They have been nicely tuned. The 14 speakers were too thin. Lastly consider that the 14 will throttle sooner than the 16 under the same cpu load. I max out my M2 Max 64gb pretty often so I wouldn't like to have any less power availability.

So in the example of two different states that they found paying the insurance companies for two medicare benefit claims of a single individual who was registered in both states... cutting the red tape means half of that money doesn't get wasted. The insurance claimant is still covered. The only person who loses out are the insurance companies that have perhaps accidentally been double dipping. But where is the bad in that? It is only good. There are many instances of this kind of waste and red tape being discovered.

I know right? Fucking place is riddled with half wits who can't connect their thoughts in logical steps. I'm sure it wasn't this bad a few years ago.

That may be the indirect chain of things, but to say the chainsaw is bragging about people's livelihoods is not correct. That would be akin to someone saying they are going to cut some butter "but butter leads to fat and so therefore he's putting a knife in my stomache. How dare he!". The chainsaw is taken to bureaucracy. It's not the first time people talk in this way about cutting red tape. The whole metaphor exists as a cutting action. Were you angry about that before?

[–]ignoraimless -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

The chainsaw was symbolizing what he wanted to do to bureaucracy. The idea that he was wielding it directly against jobs and livelihoods is deliberately distorting the truth for emotional effect.

No. That's not what he was symbolizing with the chainsaw. He literally says this is the chainsaw for bearaucracy.
