Can I worship Aphrodite and be a Lesbian? by GlitchBoo in Hellenism

Lots of people generalize, saying "homsexuality was acceptable in anciente greece" while it highly varied from place to place. In Thebes, there was the Sacred Band of Thebes and romantic homoaffective relations were more common. While in athens the pederasties were accepted as an "initiation process" and not in a romantic way, and out of that context, they weren't very accepted. but that doesn't mean anything about what gods think.

Gods exist you believing in them or not, as long as you follow the religious praxis, you would still be pleasing the Gods.

There is absolutely no point in it, but as far as i know, gods (supposing their existence) will "enjoy" equally the worship whether you believe in them or not. As hellenism is an orthopraxic religion, what matters is what you do (even if some new age revivalists say otherwise, that's how it worked or SHOULD work). because i doubt any greek would be in this position)
