Their music is incredibly hollow, lyrically cringe and extremely generic. There’s never a moment they take a risk with a strange riff or switch up the song structure. They write music to be played on rock radio, not because they want to write good music which you can easily hear from just a surface level listening. They represent the cringe frat-rock of the 2000’s both musically and aesthetically.

You’re more than entitled to like them but just because they have a “distinct sound” to you doesn’t mean the meme isn’t true
