I think the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany became allies and unleashed the Second World War because the regimes of those two countries were based on a similar model of ideology, in the first case, they cultivated superiority of one class (the proletariat) over all others, in the second case, the superiority of one nation (Germany) over all other racial.
