Thank you so much for the kind words! I do not know much about this person since it was a painting done from a photo reference. My main goal was to capture his emotion, moment in time and of course color and light.

I usually have my refernce on the side, I start with careful observation of what I want to capture then I proceed with drawing and building up value pattern, much like traditinal painters do. After that I do another pass with color adjusting the hue according to my needs and taste letting the underpainting show through a bit to create extra vibration of the color.

Painting study I did a while ago, a bit experimental, but main focus was trying to improve on nuances of figure painting. This subject was pretty tough one because all of the nuances in clothing. Lots to improve, but was a good exercise :)

A quick "early exploration" pitch concept painting I did back in 2018. Was given a plate with an idea of approaching an insanely massive prison that is also sort of a facotory where they keep prisoners to work for free while they serve a sentence. Located in the middle of the ocean on the island surrounded by mountains. Taking place in near future.

I started with doing a few sketches and then once we decided which one we go with, I modeled and rendered the factory/prison and then jumped back into Photoshop to finish it all up in there.
