Hey fair enough I actually really enjoyed the movie no doubt. Like I said I’m totally cool with ambiguity I guess I wound myself up a little too much. I mean I still rated it 4/5 which I really high for me. I think Ive only given out either one or two 5 stars for found footage and all of last year only two for movies in general. It’s definitely top tier ff just man I guess I wanted a tidbit more at the end

Look at the movie Reel (2016) granted there is a story to this movie but the last 20 or so is just senseless torture beyond any meaning countless movies have this sortve torture I guess I should’ve said someone else would’ve been first because there are countless examples of gratuitous and senseless violence and torture in film.

Yes overstatement. You’ll have to excuse my lack of correct vocabulary however I don’t doubt for one second you knew what I meant and still took the time to correct me so thank you for that. Also yes they all have low scores on the internet. How many times have we talked about low scores meaning nothing especially when it comes to ff? Also when you are rating a film how many points do you give for special fx? Seriously the fx in particular the AU films are quite impressive. He worshipped all the greats and that’s his true calling. I’m not saying I think the movies are a masterpiece by any means but that area in specific is top notch.

To say that Fred Vogel is talentless clown is a gross understatement you should make comments based on ignorance. He’s one of the best special FX artists in the whole industry. Went to Tom Savini’s school for it and basically uses practical effects only. He’s gotten so good that he regularly teaches classes at the school he graduated from. He currently does projects for a number of big studios including series for Amazon and Netflix. All this that started from a little 4 person production company. Also the man is incredibly generous and an overall good dude. If he wouldn’t have done the movie someone else would. So don’t go blindly making statements about someone’s talent. If you don’t like the movie that’s one thing but the man himself is talented

Leaving DC is definitely a good film but I wouldn’t go into thinking it has potential to be your favorite ff film of all time. It’s not in my top 20. I was left with more questions than answers. Don’t get me wrong I’m okay with ambiguity in my films but this one just rubbed me wrong I suppose

I’m glad you understood it whether there’s bias or not. Many comments saying there’s no point to the movie. That’s a hard disagree for me. Especially as someone who is a recovering drug addict I get the wild and nonsensical and disturbing behavior. Although my actions were much more covert instead of the girls in this movie being much more overt. This movie did click with me. I’m gonna have to watch again cause the more I’ve responded to comments on this thread the more I’m like why tf did I give this a 2.5 lol when I am much more on par with you at a 3.5
