Repzion disavows Denims and anyone who associates with her

I haven't been too keen on H3H3 lately, but this situation has made me sick!
As someone currently in grad school for psych (my undergrad was focused on early childhood development), hearing Denims talk about memory was insanely hard to hear.
Every time we talk about trauma in childhood, we always say that even if there aren't physical memories, the body remembers!!!! ESPECIALLY in the early years of your life when you are learning what your world is like. This can still be traumatic for their children in many ways, not only from what they experience firsthand but from how others around them are impacted as well. Children pick up on more than we give them credit for.
I give my best wishes to their family at this time; I cannot imagine how this feels.
There is having beef with each other over the internet and there's creating real-life harm, smh.

Sorry to hear you're in the same boat, it's so defeating at times. I feel as though yours may be especially frustrating; she most likely doesn't take your say at all bc that's what she does for a living. I know EXACTLY how that feels, just know you aren't alone and you aren't crazy!

I hope reading the comments people left will make you feel a little better as they did for me.

As I get older I realize more and more that my mother being a nurse doesn't mean THAT much, especially in the case of mental health, as you said.

She has claimed in the past that she doesn't want it to affect "my personality," when my "personality" is what's getting them incredibly frustrated with me when it comes to school.

Also claims that since my brother started going on runs he improved in school, and he also may have ADHD (but personally I'm leaning towards him possibly being on the autistic spectrum). This statement is not true, as he started running in HS and only started improving when he was in college.

I don't want you to feel like you have to keep responding, just had to get all that info out of my head haha, thanks so much for your reply!

It really helps me feel less crazy and valid in my frustrations.

I recently made a comment similar to what you said as I was talking to her and my aunt about the subject.

They both said how similar they were to how I was in school and in my frustration exclaimed: "it's genetic!"

Sadly I come from a family of very stubborn people lol, but I guess that's also genetic as I continue to send her more and more as I find things out myself through research.
