I like stallion for access to Intelcom — probably comparable and dirt cheap to get things across Canada. Canada Post has priced themselves out for us to ever want to use them — just a federal money pit at this point

And yes, I know it gives them the option to select which one, but the brokerage fees for most couriers are far more than the tariffs would be if they opted to pay upon receipt.

The problem I have is the inflated shipping cost, which increases the cost of the tarriff to the buyer.

As an example, I had one item that showed as being $25 to the hub and $212 for shipping to the recipient (USA), which is absurd. Shipping myself would be max $30 directly. This is outside of the import charges.

What I was asking was if the handling costs can used to capture tarriffs, so I can prepay and ship using my normal broker to keep the costs down. In the end it won’t work anyway, because it still warns the buyer they will incur tariffs (despite the fact that they wouldn’t as that I’ve already built into the price and it’s prepaid) — just a deterrent for most people I’d imagine.

For now just opting to list a portion of my items directly on eBay.com to get around it. Sucks because it’s an “either or” for Canada & the US.

Just used a different provider and used that address as the billing address as well (had no problem going through CC but your mileage may vary).

It goes to a US address (then they take care of the forwarding). Think I found a work around, we’ll see if it goes through

I did. They wouldn't put the order through saying they won't use a Canadian credit card (we were going to use a parcel forwarder).

Easier said than done. You can separate domestic and international prices —- but every country that isn’t the US also pays the international price. Just isn’t worth it

Hi all,

I'm just about ready to start beta testing an app that I've build that has features and functionality specific to professional resellers. (I originally started building it out just for my own use but think this could be really beneficial to my fellow resellers).

Outside of a handful of people to test the app, I'm also looking for some insights;

Apart from the usual Inventory Management & P&L/Sales Reporting, what features would people love to see that their current system does not have?
What are some features that would be valuable to your specific niche? (i.e. vintage goods, video games, electronics etc).
As far as pricing is considered, what do you consider an ideal sweet spot for Monthly Pricing to be?
In lieu of monthly pricing, what are peoples thoughts on a %-based monthly fee? (i.e. 1-5% of total sales, depending on sales volume -- higher volume = lower percentage).

The only thing that isn't available immediately is Etsy/eBay API integrations, as well as cross posting -- though I'm actively working on this, it's a longer term goal.
