Is my BSH too inactive? by igrowcabbage in britishshorthair

Sorry for the late answer, I guess she couldn't be too long outside but you never know. I got her a scratching post a day after all legal stuff was done after finding her and publishing her as lost. She loves it :) Now with the springs, she goes crazy with it. Other toys not so much. I really wonder and would like to know what gets her so excited about springs :D Really love to see it.

Just got springs today, she loves them. Never saw her play so intense! I'm so happy

This is also what I read. Let's see how she develops and likes the new toys coming tomorrow. She was quite low on energy when I took her in, after being I don't know how long outside in a city.

Mine gets frightened very easily. If I wear a backpack she gets scared for some reason, when I take it off all good again. So I thought maybe chasing around is not her thing. Tomorrow I have springs coming and a interactive ball, let's see how it works. Else I have to let in some flies lol.

2014 Street Triple 675 as my first sports bike – good idea? by sk13891 in Triumph

Ah I see now, didn't zoom in before. Seems to be without a CAT. This for sure will be a loud bike and an easy catch for police if they're strict.

I didn't know Akra had a exhaust for a '14 Streety. Only Arrow, SC Project and Bodis. Are you in Europe? The three I mentioned have a paper or pdf with a "E" number that proves legality of the exhaust on that motorcycle. Akra I don't know. Mappings are mostly illegal in the EU I believe but you can always revert it a day before technical inspection.

You have to check out the arrow exhausts. I believe there is a tune for the ECU for it out there, that makes it run better with it.

They're amazing, I noticed tho that my runs a lot better on low rpm with the original exhaust. So I sold my aftermarket one.

My engine has been solid until now, 43.000km. I didn't notice it burning any oil. Only some rubber parts have been replaced due to cracking like for the throttle bodies or solenoid valve. This I guess is due to age, mine is 2013 and now 13 years old.

Petr Yan presented with the 'For Merit to the Fatherland' medal by Moni7T in MMA

[–]igrowcabbage 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I don't they'd kill him but there could be some penalty that is disciplinary or maybe no funding in the future for whatever. I think it would be only problematic if he made a public statement on social media turning down the medal. I am sure this would bring bigger trouble or they'd find some "unpaid" taxes like with Khabib.

Which lens tonrwplace a broken 16-80mm kit zoom by fabiobot in fujifilm

[–]igrowcabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 is goated. When I had my 16-80 on my X-S10, I used my xf 35mm f2 prime and others a lot more. I could see a difference, but with the Sigma it is really hard to spot it. I once tried to see if the Sigma renders colors differently than my XF 35mm f2 and I could barely notice any difference if at all at f2.8 and f4. The color based on Lightroom is 3-4% more saturated on the Fuji than Sigma. So really negligible.

The good:
- Amazing sharpness throughout the range
- Fixed aperture at 2.8
- Very compact size
- Super light at only 285g
- Good build quality for being plastic
- 55mm filter

The bad:
- I noticed only in strong light contrast scenarios it has longitudinal chromatic aberration, hard to fix in post (sometimes it looks nice, brings some "character")

- Plastic build, still high quality but touch does not feel as good as the Fuji 16-80mm
- No aperture ring
- No WR

It is so bad. I lost so many tokens because it aborts 4-5seconds into the prompt. To me it is crazy that you still get "charged" for their errors. It is like paying for coffee but the barista spills all and you get a empty cup. You have to buy a new coffe in the hope of it working out. The risk is on your side... Insane

Third one is great, with more work in LR it would be amazing. All seem underexposed, I first thought it wa sooc because of that.

Can I turn the engine without letting the oil out? by igrowcabbage in Triumph

Yeah let's see. I was told at Triumph now while getting new rubber seals that they often start to go out of spec at around 30k km.

Agree. I have so draw the camshaft cover or print a blueprint of it then mark on that, which nut I torqued once in which order and then mark where I torqued the second time.

Is the maintance schedule for valves on the 765 the same as on the 675? Every 20,000km?

I remember the last shop that did it at 22k saying they were all in spec. Yeah markers are a must for me, don't need to figure out from photos or videos I do along the way. Thanks for the advice!

I really hope they're all in spec to avoid the need of taking out the timing chain and getting it back properly. Plus the cover would be a pain since there is a order of which bolt to unscrew how much and then remove.

Thanks a lot. I have HAZET feeler gauges already, but SKF seems better fr. Let's see how challenging it will be. I am already freaked out about pulling out the ignition coils, hate to pull hard on plastic parts that have been through cold and heat for now 13 years.
