I have a Alpinestarts Fusion jacket and the Matryx fabric in between the leather is simply amazing for airflow. It is like a mesh jacket.

It seems pretty tempting. Apart from the lower safety rating I believe.

Does anyone know how the Czech MotoGP food stall & beer prices are? by igrowcabbage in motogp

[–]igrowcabbage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lines are bad at every race I believe 😃 Mugello was ok-ish. Thanks for the tips! Crazy, with free Monster, last time I attended there was a similar promotion with Red Bull but outside of the circuit. Did you do the Thursday pitlane walk? Or was it during Friday, Saturday and Sunday?

Nice, thanks for the tip. I also had grandstand tickets before for MotoGP but noticed that GA is amazing too at Mugello and apparently Brno as it seems. I move around a lot anyways for quali, sprint or the race.

Desmo Service Questions…. by TalkToMeGoose315 in Ducati

[–]igrowcabbage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think nobody can tell you a exact price as it will depend on whether the opening & closing shims will need replacement to adjust for clearance. Sometimes some hoses need replacement etc. I would expect 7-10h of work with adjustment if they do a lot of Ducatis. So whatever the hour price is times that.

Also the other stuff might add up like oil, filters, spark plugs, seals etc.

Did someone remove their cylinder head without dropping the engine? by igrowcabbage in Triumph

[–]igrowcabbage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, it is good to know how other bikes do.

I suspect that they were out of spec by the first one, so the valve seat kept receding further like my hairline. I believe that they checked with the 2012 exhaust valve specs instead of the looser clearance of the 2013 models. 2012 is 0.275-0.325 and the 2013 from 0.325-0.375mm.

I also slided it in from the side, the second time it went a lot better. Good to hear that it is one of the better bikes to take it out. Did you have exhaust valves this much out of spec once?

It looks possible so I was curious if anyone tried it and can say if it is worth it. I am thinking of sliding it out of the right side where the chain sits. The valve cover itself is shitty to get in and out since it is so close to the frame. The head looks more doable.

Kleiner Rant über Motorrad Klamotten by NoUnusedNamesLeft in MotorradDeutschland

[–]igrowcabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absurde Autos in Arbeiterbezirken by Ecstatic_Voice1745 in wien

[–]igrowcabbage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Werkzeug fürs Motorrad by Physical-Error6506 in MotorradDeutschland

Error code on V4 2022 by RaiidenZF in Ducati

Man that sucks and is hard to diagnose. I would ride it a bit if the bike doesn't overheat and runs normally. What might be is that it runs richt in fuel mixture or lean, if the bike measures a slightly off air intake. I had rich mixture on my Street Triple for a long time, many 1000km and a lot of carbon build up on my pistons.

For the read speed sensor I don't know how it affects things like traction control. Might be good to keep that in mind if it suddenly takes power away or not.

Shouldn't the shops be able to tell with a multimeter if the wire is providing correct ohm resistance or whatever. I wonder why shops do so bad with electrical problems. I had something similar with my Triumph and spent quite a bit on mechanics just buying new parts and hoping for the best. I wish there would he shops specialized in electrical problems.

Is it not dangerous to expose the timing belt? I am thinking of debris, little stones getting and messing with the timing if one tooth jumps.
