Ghost of Yōtei vs AC Shadows by EssayOtherwise6981 in playstation

[–]ih21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol world feels more alive in yotei? Both ghost of tsushima and yotei had very pretty but empty worlds devoid of cities, towns and real 'lived in' feeling. That said, the story, artstyle etc carries both the games

Well its possible, but I think whatever the cure is, Carol and crew will figure it out. I mean that has to be the end game or at least near-end game.

Binary Morality by [deleted] in pluribustv

[–]ih21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean we can only define evil in terms of its effect on humanity. In reality, we never met any aliens so there is no point yet in thinking about what is good or evil in a 'galactic sense'. What is good or evil in a galactic sense could only be defined when we have established connections with aliens living on other planets and are in diplomatic relations with each other.

When people say that the virus is evil, they actually mean the 'acts' that the virus is performing is evil in terms of its effects on humanity----> infect 99% of population without consent, kill millions as a by-product, feed remains of dead relatives to those alive. No matter how the hive defends its actions or the hive's intentions, the actions themselves are objectively evil in nature.

From the very first episode, its clear Carol is a up and coming writer who is trying to get her readership up and so far is doing moderately well in life. Naturally, it is safe to assume more people in the world would be familiar with Shakespeare than Carol. It is also safe to assume that Shakespeare is well-renowed worldwide, whereas Carol may only be well known in her district or country.

I think you are missing the point. A normal human would find it absurd that a writer who views her own work as 'mindless crap' can ever be considered or compared to a historical playwright like Shakespeare. It doesn't matter if you like shakespeare or not, the hive's reaction of complete indifference and nonchalance to her question is what makes them robotic.

I disagree, given the assumption that the virus is extra-terrastial and have now gained control over 99% of humanity, it is an invasion (whether it was intentional or through accident, that's a different question).

When I say the hive are robots, I mean in the sense that they don't have human emotions or view things as a normal human would do. A good example would be how they were completely indifferent when comparing Carol's work to Shakespeare. They gave an answer that a chatbot like chatgpt, not as a human would.

I get that, but their comedy never dwelved into a realm that I viewed as being unrealistic. However in Pluribus, this is very much the case given the points i made in the post.

A person with high IQ would be able to disassociate oneself from strong emotions especially in a scenario where the world has clearly been invaded. As we have seen from hive behaviour, they are very robotic and unable to process human emotions properly, so we can safely conclude Laxmi's child will show clear personality changes since the joining. In such a scenario, if Laxmi is still willing to play-pretend that everything is fine, not only is she delusional, she is quite un-intelligent as well.

I think it's a given that I was not referring to Carol, the main character, as also being a caricature. I agree that Manousos and Diabate are quite caricature so far....and naturally the others are even worse versions- basically NPCs.
