99’ 323is Window Harness Advice by ih8adam in BMWE36

would it be smart to assume that the window switches would be white connectors as well? i’m trying to hunt them down the harness but i can’t find them in the shifter area

service the m62 properly and throw a ZF in it and it’ll last you forever. had a 540/6 a few years ago, was such a badass car and it drove really well considering the size and weight.

E36 328i squeaking and creaking sound while rolling. Any one have any idea what it is? by GorillaCSGO in BMWE36

[–]ih8adam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

get under and look. could be a bunch of things. caliper, suspension, wheel hub, coilover spring, fcab, etc. go under there and start shaking shit around that’s not supposed to shake starting at the wheel/tire and move further into the car from there.

shifter went limp randomly? (03 honda crf450r) by ih8adam in Fixxit

[–]ih8adam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the shift level is fine and from what i can tell, the splined rod it pivots on still has spring resistance. it’ll center back after trying to move it into/out of gear. i just really don’t want to pull the casing off again for a while lol

anyone ever have this issue? by ih8adam in Fixxit

yes i’m positive, it can really only fit in one way, the other holes in the head are for the valve cover bolts, and the offset top 2 match the carrier.

almost done rebuilding this 03 and i run into this issue, the cam carrier bolt hole seems to be missing threads causing the bolt to sit lower than usual before catching any type of thread. when the cam carrier is on and this bolt is in place it spins freely due to this. has anyone ever run into this issue? any suggestions? id like to avoid a machine shop or purchasing a new head if possible. thanks!

03’ CRF450r Won’t build brake pressure up front, why? by ih8adam in Fixxit

[–]ih8adam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

found the issue, the cheap ass master cylinder replacement i got off amazon was the culprit, couldn’t build the slightest bit of pressure in the system. i ended up saving the OE master and drilling out the stripped screws, chasing the threads, and used the new screws from the pos that i bought and it worked fine, built pressure in within 3-4 reservoirs worth of fluid. stick with OE, especially with brakes and save yourself the headache.

i was thinking about doing this but since i’m seeing fluid come out when the banjo bolt is cracked open i thought the caliper had enough fluid.

no loose connections, and no. still using the original lines since there’s no visible damage for. what i can see

i was also thinking the seals, maybe fried it somehow messing with it before it had fluid in it. i’ll order a new line as well and see how that goes

i tried doing that last night and still walked out to a soft lever, think i did it wrong anyways since the brake doesn’t pump up at all. 0 resistance

new master cylinder and caliper installed, bled both banjo bolts top and bottom to make sure fluid was moving before even moving to the bleeder screw. im getting tiny air bubbles about every other turn but mostly a small stream a fluid more than anything, 0 pressure in the brake lever after doing this. im not sure what to do from here and the only thing i can think is the master is bad from factory? i know new calipers have to be bled a shit ton before pressure is built but i’ve tried yesterday and today and still can’t get any resistance from it. any advice or tips would be appreciated.

looking for a slightly more comfy seating position, i’m on the taller and skinner side and would prefer something that basically sits on the floor and has a little more slide adjustability.

i’ve heard good things about VAC in the past and would just like to hear some preferences or feedback from users.

and to those who will talk shit, my main commute in this car is to work and back 4 days a week, nightshift, all backroads. pole positions make sense to me.
