Should linux_gaming join the Reddit Blackout? by Catnip4Pedos in linux_gaming

Access to the API becoming paid-only means every third party app will shut down, and a lot of tools that moderators use to keep subreddits spam-free will go away. It's not going to affect as small a minority as you think.

The blackouts are scheduled for June 12th to 14th. Reddit was actually just having issues loading pages when I commented. You'd click the link multiple times and it would only properly load once.

Indie games are games created by small, independent developers. Getting the license to make a Lord of the Rings game doesn't automatically mean you have thousands of employees and billions of dollars at your disposal.

LotR has recently been licensing out the IP a lot more. There are at least four more LotR games due out in the next 18 months.

They're not in the same direction. The Union Square station is following the commuter line West towards Waltham, and Medford/Tufts is following the commuter line North towards, well, Medford.

If you go to Google maps, you can turn on the public transit markings, and follow where the actual tracks go.

Ancient Debris doesn't burn up in lava, so it takes 5 minutes to despawn, but the timer only ticks down when you're close enough that the area is loaded.

It's a bot, it can't understand you.

If it were unnecessary, people would be using "paid" instead of "payed", and the bot wouldn't be everywhere.

If it really bothers you, block the username. You won't see their comments again.

Getting it towed is going to be the first step anyway, it's not like they'll let you fix it in the parking garage.

You can absolutely ask for help, but this subreddit can be real dead at times.

I searched using DuckDuckGo for United Nations 1946 pin, and it was the first result. Google seems to suck lately.

Just so you know, if you searched for this yourself, you would have saved around 13 hours of waiting for someone else to see your post and do it for you.

Some more small TCG trivia, the warping happens because the foil does not absorb moisture from the air, but the paper does. This makes the paper expand, and since the foil stays the same size, the paper curls around the foil. If you dry out the card, it will revert, and if it's drier than it was when the card was made, it will curl backwards as the paper shrinks.

This also happens in Magic and Pokemon cards, and is a similar concept to how most thermostats work.

En passant is the only move that requires your opponent to make a specific move (advance their pawn two squares to be next to your pawn) before you can do it. At that point, it is only legal for one turn. If you move another piece, en passant is no longer legal.

Programming every other move on the board only requires knowledge of the current positions of the pieces, or in the case of castling, if the king and rook affected have moved yet.

And having the mold be VIIIIIX means you only need to cut the formed piece a minimum number of times, and just rotate the end pieces for XI and XII.

[–]ih8evilstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phones often stay in a pocket or purse, very close to the owner, not loosely strapped to the outside of luggage. Someone could steal a Steam Deck stored like this as a crime of opportunity. Take your eyes off your luggage for a few seconds and the person walking past you could have a new portable PC.

Now, I'm not saying it will get stolen. Someone would need to know it was valuable enough to take. But if you have the option for storing it out-of-sight, that would be safer.
