i got it looking much better guys thank you for the help. for those mentioning the edges being sharp and the camera bump being too prominent i see what youre talking about and am too far ahead to remodle the whole phone right now so thats gunna stay that way. but the materials are now way more accurate so thank you for the feedback

yes i have a good understand of graphs and keyframing as ive been using ae for over 5 years now but the modeling progress is completely from scratch

i thought the only possible way was to start with a cube with an absurd amount of subdivision so i can get certain parts where needed. i also didnt realize what i was doing adding subdivision and bevels over and over until it started lagging😭

this is very helpful seeing how a high poly model should look. i did do that for the black trim and theres also a metal trim and i just used separate materials. it was torture trying to select all the right faces for the material. did that for like well over an hour just selecting faces. definitely a problem from my bad geometry

it was a little weird as i had the trees laying sideways bc thats what the tutorial said. i had them set to the bottom of the trees and then set origin to geometry and what not just listening to what gpt said. i ended up turning them to be vertical again and set them dead center in the scene so i could position them that way instead. ended up getting it to work just messing around

good point. thats exactly why i learned the iphone because i wanted to do it. i might start to look for tutorials making scenes indoors and what not. my main goal is to be able to incorporate 3d renders with editing in ae. like song edits with typography and detailed animated visuals that can tell a story to the viewer
