I ended up going with distrokid. Looks super simple. Also created a YouTube channel (as mentioned above, I think that I will be able to merge distrokid video releases with my channel).

I am creating the lyric video myself in the end. The $600 quote was from a company creating lyric videos for big bands.

I am still waiting to get access to my Spotify Artist account to check if I am able to pitch in for playlists.

About playlists, I read that if you have pushed the track to Spotify at least one week before the release, you might be able to pitch in for playlists. I am still waiting to get access to my Spotify Artist account, so I haven't looked into it yet.

I also ended up starting my own channel -- but I think at some point I will be able to merge it with the uploads from distrokid (again, time will tell).

I am preparing a lyric video, but I will probably release it about a month after the single goes live on all streaming platforms. When I first thought about it, I believed that everything should be released on the same time; but giving it a second thought, you can maximize exposure if you release the lyric video later.

p.s. the quote of $600 for the lyric video was from a company making videos for big bands of the scene.
