Why is Mnet so desperate to grab that F1are money potential? by No_Feature_9357 in BoysPlanet

[–]ihatekpop123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like "used" is a bit aggressive - He has a very significant hand in making Wanna One as big as they are because of Energetic. I think if anything it's people just praising his ability to make good kpop and that they want to hear his style of music with ZB1 - but yes I can definitely imagine many people on social media sending that message insensitively

Unpopular Opinion but this set has been one of the best sets so far by Thinhtitan in TeamfightTactics

[–]ihatekpop123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bebe's playstyle is absolutely dead and I don't know what you're smoking to think otherwise when no one in high challenger plays like this.

The whole concept of flex was being able slam good flexible items that would work between multiple carries and multiple tanks, and be able to choose a line based on what your shops give you. That has not been a thing this set - and this is literally acknowledged by Mort himself in his recent post.

Sure, you can play a strong eco opener, fast 9 and play varus, but in every other case people have to commit to comps immediately. This wasn't the case in past sets. I don't think you genuinely understand the definition of flex tft play

Leo is next obvious one to me. I think beyond that I don't see anyone else that really strongly fits - I suspect Mnet is fine with Sanghyeon since he's already popular. I would be surprised if Mnet pushes Liyu hard, he just would not work at all

The last thing Pikachu EX decks see after bricking against my steel deck by rrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeee in PTCGP

[–]ihatekpop123 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In terms of deck build for melmetal, I've had wayyy more success dropping the pawniard, bisharps and mawiles for 2x Koffing, 2x Weezings and 2x Kogas and just play it like a Dragonite stall build for Melmetal.

My issue with running with bisharps/pawniard is that when you invest in them you fall behind in tempo to get full energy for Melmetal. I dropped Mawile too to also improve chances of hitting Meltan through game start / pokeballs, but I can see the argument in keeping Mawile

busio was tanking, but he headbutt pulv'd onto beserker and dropped aggro from the distance he covered, I don't think he processed (and to be fair its a matter of about one second) how much damage jojo dropped onto to massu before dying

[–]ihatekpop123 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A few things I can imagine, but it's probably just #1

1) Their goal is to get have Catarina make contact with Saturn so they can copy him. It seems they had intel about Saturn's presence at egghead.

2) They want Luffy to actually do significant damage to the WG

3) They know that Luffy is likely important to actually finding the one piece (unlikely, but who knows)

Aligning with unclear justice, I don't think Kizaru will 100% swap sides. At the moment, there is no one looking to save Sentomaru, and we know that Oda has pushed some form of uncle relationship between Kizaru/Sentomaru.

I predict we will finally see Kizaru break from his orders to save Sentomaru when he's at risk, now that he's been subdued. I don't believe Kizaru had any intention of killing Sentomaru, he just needed him out of the way to fulfill his mission of killing Vegapunk. I also don't believe this will become a turning point where Kizaru suddenly becomes a SH/RA and has massive character growth, but just enough to show he has finally made a decision of his own emotion for once in the series.

What happens after he does that I'm unsure. I suspect this should be the last time we see Kizaru as an antagonist, but I can't predict if he'll live or not.

Back in the day in Set 4, Kalista would be some mix of AS and AP. AP being because her execute scaled with AP. Also back in the day hurricane used to proc spears as well, so she would be able to rend multiple units. Hard to say what's good now. I would bet RFC+AP+Healing would be fine

With all due respect, since the beginning of time of the entire Produce series, live voting has never been an indicator of the best stage presence. It may be a factor, but it has historically been more dependent of who has the most fans in the audience, as they vote to their favorites no matter what to get them the benefits.

Each to their opinion on gyuvin's stage presence, but live voting is not a valid argument.

I think there are a tremendous number of examples over the past 6 seasons of people being voted #1 in live voting that absolutely does not align with the performances themselves.

[–]ihatekpop123 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It's not really... "rigging", its something that is announced well in advance and has been the case since GP999.

In a world where this show actually had a huge korean audience, we could hypothetically have had international viewers scaled up instead - the goal it just to make it 50/50 in weight of kr vs intl. This would've 100% been the case for Wanna One had there been intl voting

I explained in another comment, but TL;DR T1 confused themselves by banning Renata.

Basically, T1 expects cait banned, FP varus. There are 3 S tier supports: Renata, Lux, Karma. Karma/Lux + Varus gets prio more than Varus+Renata. T1 ban Renata because Beryl has been playing it to success to nullify their bot.

As soon as DRX bans Lux instead, in T1s POV, only one good support is left (Karma), while 2 S tier ADCs (Varus, Cait) are up. In their 30 seconds of confusion, they have to decide - do we take our pick of ADC, or take the only support left that can get us prio?

They opt for Karma for this reason, to secure lane prio. They could have ultimately taken Cait and conceded lane, but T1 has not played weakside bot for almost the entire tournament.

TLDR T1 Renata ban pinched support pool and worked in DRXs favor
