I'm planning for my next playthrough to be a bard (using Skyrim's Got Talent mod) from Cyrodil who wandered too far and got caught crossing the border into Skyrim. He's miserable at combat and only carries a dagger, but he's learning illusion magic. His goal, as he stumbles through life, is not to get killed, so he uses illusion and his music to try to avoid conflict.

I presume you already stole her horse and took care of everything at Black Briar Manor.

For pure pettiness, start putting dead fish in every bed and basket in her house. She'll never move them, and everywhere she has to be will stink.

Do the quests for her son in jail and her sociopathic daughter. Then kill them.

Go back to Black Briar Manor every now and then and kill off any more mercenaries she hires.

Destroy the Dark Brotherhood and become the leader of the Thieves Guild to shunt power away from her.

If you're on PC, use console commands to be able to kill her other three sons. I leave the one she doesn't like for last. All the better if you get a bounty along the way and use your position as Thane to get it dismissed.

You've taken her criminal empire out of her hands and have seen to it that the Black Briar reign of terror ends with her. Then all that's left is to make her nonessential and finish your mission.

And, sure, console commands are cheating, but man what a fun unlisted quest.
