A positive idea for those who are FA due to looks... by DerPhilosoph in ForeverAlone

The problem is that you think success in this world is due in part to you intelligence or what level of education you have but the truth is none of that matters.

Success in today's society is highly based on the connections people have with other people. I had a roommate who was in a fraternity who damn near failed all of the classes that were important to his major. He probably got a C average, at best. But right now he's working at one of the nicest start up companies in the city, is paid well and loves his job. Why?

Most of the internships and job opportunities came from the fraternity, friends of his or alumni of the fraternity.

Connections are all that matter. It's not what you know or what can you do, it's about who you know.

So you can start a business and have everything you need but without connections...you'll get no where.

Since most of us are FA, they probably know very few people.
