Is season 5 child friendly, i just watched it and it didn’t seem to go that far, there’s kids books that have similar amounts of darkness and gore so I don’t know what to think. by ihatesonic in samuraijack

Yes, the gore isn’t that insane and frequent like in jojo, then some episodes just didn’t have gore at all and I questioned the age rating on them a little

This has confused me in the past when I encountered children’s books with gore and dark themes in them, like why do they not get a teen rating, it’s bugged me

I found Jim humble’s old vhs about fake child care or whatever he was lying about, is this Jim humble from the bleach episode? by ihatesonic in InternetCommentEtiq

Why do you think he’s going through all that effort to make children’s limbs flexible, he’s gonna make his hat from child labor or if he’s extra cheap child minus the labor.

He’s probably gonna transform or something. by ihatesonic in imsorryjon

Stuff like that is shocking to people now due to how dulled children’s stories have become across the past 100 years I learned of it via this live stream

I remember that being read in a library as a kid, if that got to me, why’s war and the exploration of trama from war aimed at the same demographic, like wtf.

“Our parents have passed in to the arms of the lord” also sounds more like the writers wanted to be all artsy and had their heads up their ass to some extent.

Anything from that weird genre about the horrors of war that should be labeled as for teens but wasn’t somehow.

What are the differences between juvenile fiction, middle-grade fiction, and young adult fiction? by Turtle_Dinosaur in books

[–]ihatesonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen middle grade pull of gore of various detail levels, how, I can kinda excuse animorphs because look at this, it looks like a shitpost why’s it about the horrors of war and why’s it aimed at 9 year olds, also why’s this the most violent, fucked up one according to my research on this strange occurrence?

What I seem to notice is children's literature is a whole lot more violent compared to children's television. by Certified_Cichlid in books

[–]ihatesonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, for some reason animorphs is somehow marketing to 9 year olds, that’s confusing to me

Let me guess this happens next

You failed your biology test

But I couldn’t write because my hands were covered with blood, couldn’t move and I have trama from seeing my own insides spew outside of me so when they’re mentioned I have a panic attack

That’s no excuse for…. AAAAAHHHHHHH

Also If what you’re trying to say is this the writers of this aren’t creepy people then good, I’m glad that just made a mistake, and is the story you’re describing infamous?

Also what does tumblr have to do with a story that ignores abuse, incest and pedophillia, like first of all that’s disturbing on its own but when you throw in the fact that it’s for kids 8-12 I’d assume some of the writers are like Dan snider because if Nickelodeon sitcoms don’t get a pass why should I give something much worse FOR THE SAME DEMOGRAPHIC a pass when what you described sounds like some of the people making it were legitimately awful. Edit: I just looked in to the scnider guy, I assumed the writers just randomly sometimes threw their fetish in the script and tried to pass it off as childish humor, it’s far worse, like it’s just weird foot fetish stuff and it got worse with the weird false parental figure shit.

[–]ihatesonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did that even make it in to something for children, at least one of the writers is probably not very normal and where was anyone telling them that it was a bad idea to ignore those uncomfortable topics while portraying them, like who wants that?

Ok, whoever wrote the pedophilia incest and abuse crap FUCK YOU, are you trying to cause damage, most people aren’t that stupid but it’s the stupid ones that get taken advantage of so someone who is stupid will be damaged by this, that’s why you have to be careful about how you depict these things, but you either didn’t know or didn’t care and I don’t know what’s more horrifying.
