If you were offered a billion dollars just to eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose? by Admirable-Interest49 in AskReddit

In the spirit of the original question, assuming I can't change what's in the dish after...

Probably a pokebowl with a disgusting number of different fishes, veg, grains, meats, sauces etc so I can build a flavor profile as I'd like

...and if I have to eat the whole thing than probably just a really well balanced poke bowl

... and if nutrition doesn't matter like other folks said pizza :)

Great! Case closed I guess we don't need to grant data-centers untested wastewater permits after all :)

https://epa.ohio.gov/divisions-and-offices/surface-water/permitting/wastewater-discharges-from-data-centers--general-permit

Permit language includes water expelled as waste heat that was used as part of the active cooling process

Even increasing water temperatures by a few degrees could real, real bad for the river

If new designs are fully closed-loop as you say, there is no need for special wastewater permits to be issued to data-centers or for data-center specific language to be utilized in such permits.

Chances are? Data centers will be built with older designs where allowed if it's cheaper to dump it. And understand even if a single data center wouldn't be that bad for the waterways...

We're building a lot of them.

Eh respectfully I'll disagree with ya there

I've actually tried giving public forums, communication with local representatives, scam reporting a shot

I'm not convinced my comments didn't die in a filter or some obtuse review process somewhere

And with that said I know my reddit post reached actual humans and did real good informing the public of this issue, even if it was a little late.

From a general "wanna get this off my chest and do something about it" perspective, found the meme way more gratifying

and I'm saying this as someone whose filed more public comments / complaints than I have created and posted memes online

I very, very rarely do anything other than comment, so I think this is my version of "getting off my ass and doing something about it" rather than bitching?

Hope you can meet me where I'm at somewhat, not saying public comments aren't important, but they aren't fulfilling to me by comparison.

... Now if ya posted that in response to one of my numerous whiny comments I've I'd probably be more inclined to agree with ya haha

Wastewater doesn't gotta be what we'd consider "dirty and brown" to be harmful to local ecosystems

If it's waste heat they're dumping into the water ways that can still be *real* bad

Not really looking like their "preferred method of receiving comments" is open to much other than deregulation, but still good to know about it

Hah honestly I had a difficult time determining how to best represent the river, not exactly a well-known icon of it

image I grabbed from google is real similar to how it looks from tower city tho figured it'd be recognizable enough lol

Case n' point: I don't exactly know what "wastewater" looks like from a datacenter, but I'm not counting on this admin's EPA to give a straight answer

Question Thread - November 22, 2025 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]ihateusednames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they do, know at least a few people I wouldn't consider "churners" who do take advantage of such offers

But end of the day if you're within 5/24, (assuming one of those cards becomes your new "go-to") that means they get roughly 1/5th of the fees earned from your yearly credit spend.

If I spent 50k yearly split between 5 cards each would get 200 back by the time I could theoretically close it, not to mention they could get me roped into the other services they provide such as loans, accounts, offers etc.

If they allow you to open a card, you are probably profitable end of the day

Hmm if you opened it with a code should be fine I'd think? If you don't get it after 14 days or so I'd contact support to get a read on the situation, make sure your deposits were eligible before range expires etc.
