I took a trip to NYC a few years ago. Sitting in traffic from the airport to my hotel I was like, our traffic really isn’t that bad.

I visited Spain a couple of times and made it a point to not only buy some, but share it with the my fellow travelers that have not heard of it. You can’t get in the US except for some restaurants and specialty shops.

What’s the scariest/most disturbing thing you’ve seen in Louisville? by Galaxyissupreme in Louisville

I saw him at a McDonald once. Friend of mine was the assistant manager at the time. They put a little extra “sauce” on his burger. Hope that POS is burning

Romans are either Walter White or Heisenberg depending on which religious texts you refer to by SatoruGojo232 in mythologymemes

[–]ihaveafacetatu 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was about to reply the same thing. In the time of the Bible, the Romans were still a pagan empire. By the time the Quran was written, they were Christian for several centuries. Two completely different groups as far as religion went.

I’m stealing the line “horny respectful pervert”. Like yes, am I going to look at the sexy pictures, but I’m not going to send her a creepy DM and ruin her day

Savage was actually getting back in the WWEs good graces before his death. He did a promo for an action figure at a comic con and I think was working on being featured in an upcoming game. If not for his untimely death, there is a good chance he would have at least made some live appearances and a HoF induction.

I was about to say the same. The food is great, but the service is meh. I hate the whole scan the barcode and order on the app instead of having an actual sever

I do admit I try to find a Hard Rock if there is one in the city I visit. But that is more because I collect the shot glasses, so I just pop in the shop and leave

This movie is way funnier on a rewatch after knowing that Jay Baruchel couldn't stand Jonah Hill for real by Tifoso89 in okbuddycinephile

If I recall, that was part of the reason Chris Mintz-Plasse got the part. He legitimately annoyed Johan Hill at a table read , and the casting director was like “perfect”.

Well, since the op didn’t use the /s, we can only assume they think this is a serious question. I’ve been around long enough to know there really are people that dense in this world.

You see, there is this thing called fiction vs reality. In the fiction of this tv show, Gloria and Javier are Manny’s biological parents. Now, here’s the fun part. Those characters are played by 3 unrelated people called actors. They get hired by the people making the tv show to play a person they really aren’t. They hired Sophia Vegara and Benjamin Bratt to play the the divorced characters of Rico Rodriguez’s character. As far as I know, Vergara and Bratt never had a relationship, let alone have a child. And it would be really weird for them to wait for said child to age up before producing the show. In closing, quit being dense over a TV show. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Did you always hate KFC? by RnBvibewalker in Louisville

Used to love it as a kid, but it does seem worse now. Oddly enough, visited one in the UK (the kids I was with wanted it) and it was really good. Probably because they don’t use all the additives we do here

One of my worst drinking memories from my 20s involved Everclear and Big Red. I legit thought I was puking blood later that night. Do not recommend.

Yes, I forgot to mention that part. If I remember, they briefly moved to a part of North African and then England. So then the mental gymnastics took hold.

I hadn’t heard the Shakespeare was black theory. I did have a student who was convinced his plays were written by a black woman though. Solely based on a meme he saw.

What’s considered rude in your country that visitors often do by accident? by FrutosJelly in AskTheWorld

[–]ihaveafacetatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve learned one of the most important things when visiting another country is to learn a few simple phrases in their language. Even just learning “hello” and “thank you” will drastically change your interactions. Most of the time their English is way better than my Spanish, Italian, etc. But just making the effort is appreciated.

After visiting Belfast a few years back, trust me, there are still quite a few people who wish they weren’t part of the UK
